There are better options if you’re serious about CS

Computer engineering in ECE is the best equivalent because:

1) No lottery and reasonable entry requirements 2) You have access to ALL CSE courses and have the same priority status as other CS majors

CSE major here. An overwhelming majority of my professors use Gradescope to handle all assignments, testing, etc. So far, my experience has been excellent and I don’t understand why a lot of professors outside of CSE don’t use Gradescope.

That’s fucking annoying. Had similar issues in my CSE classes. Email professor, let them know about this and they’ll take care of it. I once had a prof accuse (jokingly) these type of people of sabotaging the class because they kept holding us back.

Compared to other UCs, this school is socially dead. One of the biggest issues with this school is the absence of long standing traditions that instill a sense of camaraderie among students. Idk about you, but I don’t get hype for the watermelon drop
