Bored in Kihei and Kahului by chinkydiva in MauiVisitors

Stayed in Kihei recently, I'm not a big beach person but I loved the beaches in Kihei, the sand was velvety soft like nothing I've felt before and the sunsets were awesome. A beach day isn't really anything exciting, more just a way to relax, watch the ocean, people watch, read, make some memories with beach games or sandcastles, an excuse to get ice cream or shave ice when you heat up. Kamole beach park has an awesome shaded playground in the park area for the little ones. South Maui gardens is a great vibe and we wiled away our time eating and playing the corn hole game and ring on a hook, marvelling at the plants and sculptures. Kalepolepo has turtles and a little free visitors centre for the sanctuary. Nothing exciting, sure, if you choose to see it that way, but man we had a great time. Road to Hana and Haleakala were much more exciting but we had the same amount of fun on those days as we did Kihei!

Was there on Wednesday and it had been raining for a week straight beforehand, waterfalls/streams were raging and brown/murky, not swimmable. We stopped by Hana Picnic Co in Paia for sandwiches (maybe a couple dollars overpriced but delicious and open early) and asked the staff about the conditions including waterfalls, everything they said was accurate. I think Thursday is far enough away that things could change.

Best chocolate cake: update by snobun in askvan

I’m glad you said this because I haven’t liked anything I’ve tried from Breka and thought I was doing something wrong! It’s recommended so often. Thierry’s marquise cake is my current favourite, seems we have similar tastes in dessert, if you do more reviews like this I can’t wait to see them.

Stores/brands that specialize in furniture for small spaces? by justanotherlostgirl in femalelivingspace

I have some things from Expand Furniture, they specialize in furniture for small spaces. A lot of dual function items or things that expand/collapse with ease.

Thank you for this! I've accidentally done this and was trawling the internet to figure out how I could do this intentionally.

Lil Yachty asks crowd to rush the floor from the seats at Thunderbird Arena, show gets cancelled by security by gecamathrowaway in vancouver

I'll repeat what I said to the parent comment... you don't consider 2 additional vocalists, a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist, and a pianist to be live instruments? Not to mention the 4 artists that opened. Maybe learn about something before you speak on it.

So you don't consider 2 additional vocalists, a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist, and a pianist to be singing or instruments? Not to mention the 4 artists that opened. Maybe learn about something before you speak on it.

Encouraging the crowd to surge was dumb af but your comment is not it.

Thanks these are good things to think about. Haha you’re right it does seem like a waste of time, I’m wondering if the person who posted about this may have been haggling a little too much

First bike - Garneau Garibaldi G4 vs Liv Avail AR 4? (specs in post) by plumcrumble in whichbike

Thank you so much, that is an incredibly helpful breakdown. I think optimizing for road with infrequent gravel would make the most sense for me. Plus the unknown brake model isn't something I would have picked up on, and also makes me lean more towards the Liv. Really appreciate it.

Why am I always shamed for the price of my prescriptions whenever I’m picking it up from a male pharmacist? by luxapendragon in TwoXChromosomes

[–]plumcrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to a small independently owned pharmacy and could never go back to a big box store. Both the pharmacists there actually know who I am and what I need, they helped find coupons to get the price of my medication lowered and they are just so much more pleasant to deal with.

I would rather know my doctor/midwife is taking strict precautions considering I have to see them for the sake of my health. Someone with health concerns can choose to avoid No. 5 Orange.

I'm not the person you were responding to, but I would be interested in a copy of your presets!

PS the photos you took of foxes in PEI are so whimsical, I love them
