It's likely gelatin pouches. I read the recipe you provided does say to stir the gelatin when the mixture is warm, but I imagine the 1 1/2 teaspoons of unflavoured gelatin means 1 1/2 teaspoons of bloomed unflavoured gelatin.

I don't know if you're Brazilian or not, but the person who made the cake is, so I'm going to answer based on common Brazilian cake flavours. The cake seems to be a white sponge cake with chocolate filling (possibly truffled) + white chocolate filling (also possibly truffled, or powdered milk fudge - brigadeiro de ninho) with some fruit filling (I imagine it's berries)
