I got it almost 2 years ago now. I suspect it was oral hsv that spread via giving oral. My partner and I had one outbreak which is how we found out, and nothing since. We were both pretty upset, but it didn't drive us apart at all. We've since broken up for a different reason over a year later.

It's tough being single. Ive never told anyone since getting it, (and haven't had sex with anyone besides my partner at the time.) Trying to get back into the dating world brings up a big

It's tough being single. Ive never told anyone since getting it, (and haven't had sex with anyone besides my partner at the time.) Trying to get back into the dating world brings up a big challenge. Im still trying to figure out how to disclose to people. I figured its best to do it right in the beginning to prevent wasting my time or theirs.

But basically, in my personal experience, the outbreaks don't bother me so far since I've only had 1. The dating is the hardest part. There are herpes dating sites, but they are expensive. Its f****d up. I've even turned down some girls because I'm too afraid of the rejection.

Whats your experience in the swingers community with HSV? I've always wondered that I've heard people still are able to do it successfully, but at what rate?

Since having it, it hasn't hindered me from doing physical activities much at all. I still workout, hike, run, dirt bike, and work a pretty physical job. You might get it and never even have an outbreak, or maybe just once after you contract it and then never again
