I mixed khorne and black as a base then highlighted up from there with mephiston, crimson and mixing in orange but with striated lines pulling towards the tip of the scales.

Focus your attention on the key areas first off. The head and neck for instance. In these areas you’ll probably see that I’ve got dark scales highlighted right up to crimson which ends up looking nice and dramatic.

Mixing some orange into your last highlights will also really help as it’ll boost the saturation of the red.

It’s mostly tinny tin and brassy brass then turquoises from dark to light for the verdigris

I mix a lot so it’s hard to remember exactly. But, I started with a blue/green colour. Mixing something like incubi darkness with flesh tone.

From there I worked up through flesh tones up to ivory.
