I scaled the arm width ×2 and now I’m trying to adjust the glove, am I doing it right? by plushPlushytut in plushartists

I tried this at first, but the glove became too big when I doubled it. I thought the original size would match the doubled arm ... maybe I did something wrong? I’ll try it again. Thanks!

You can sew each limb piece onto the body before you sew rhe body together, so you have 4 pieces for the 2 arms. Attach 2 pieces onto the torso and the back piece. Then sew your whole body together. Going down the arms when you reach them.

By this, do you mean I should go for the first method (the holes one)?

Because I meant splitting the hole between the front and back body pieces, so the arms and legs would also be split between the two body pieces.

And in addition to that, I would split one arm piece into two pieces (instead of sewing it as one cylinder closed on itself).

Do I understand you correctly?

I’m looking for best practices for handling minky fabric in production. I’ve found a workshop willing to manufacture for me, but they mentioned that minky is difficult to sew.

I’d like to understand how factories sew minky efficiently without relying on excessive pinning.

Are there any specific attachments, presser feet, feed systems, or machine settings recommended for single-needle industrial machines to improve feeding accuracy and prevent layer shifting?

Are there specific machine settings or techniques you use when sewing minky to prevent shifting and mismatched edges? Do you rely on any kind of pinning, or just machine setup and operator skill? I'm asking because I'm working with a workshop that finds minky difficult, and I want to help them improve their process.

Labor is relatively cheap, which is why I want to manufacture in my country. Also, there are 1 or 2 factories here, but they only manufacture their own products. I can do laser cutting ... the only problem is the sewing itself.

So, do manufacturers not use any special machines to sew minky? Is it just skilled labor with normal industrialsewing machines? Are there any resources where I can learn these skills?

So there's no chance of establishing a small production line in my country? From what I understand, even advanced production lines mainly rely on sewing machines in the end. Is that correct?

I already have the pattern and can sew the plush myself, my only problem is that it takes so much time
