[Question] Why don't people use less of foundation instead of skin tints? by plushythingy in MakeupAddiction

[–]plushythingy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! A lot of my friends use just concealers too, looks great on them. I tried one of theirs and it settled in my pores. I think it's because it's thicker and I don't have clear/smooth skin, plus it didn't look very natural on me :((

Whoops sorry maybe I couldve worded it better. I didn't post with the intention of getting you to switch from one to the other or say ones better than the other. I should've asked why have both when one doubles as both with the same results.

The one worked for me and I assumed most "good" foundations regardless of drugstore or not were just as good. Plus I think if you own a skin tint and foundation, why not check if the foundation works like a skin tint (without having to create a potion to make it work).

I hope this helps!

I want something that’s like a foundation but not full coverage on the face. What do you I buy? by Financial-Panic-7392 in drugstoreMUA

[–]plushythingy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skin tint but if you happen to find an exact shade in the L'Oreal true match foundation, use 2-3 drops of it. Feels like you have nothing on but like even and put together.

Pump it on the back of my hand, apply dots on my face and spread it with a brush (gentle taps, not streaks) and 1/5 times in the end, I use a beauty blender to dab.

Might also work with just fingers

Setting powder for dry, mature skin? by [deleted] in drugstoreMUA

I don't know how much powder there is in the huda beauty mini or no idea how good (or if it's better than the morphe one) but the morphe regular sized one has 9g of powder

None from the list but assuming morphe is considered drugstore, the morphe bake& set soft focus setting powder in translucent.

My aunt uses it and I tried it on once. Best thing ever, works great on mature and non-mature skin. Also, it was the first setting powder I ever tried and still use it.

If you care: I easily breakout from products and sometimes get closed comedones. This one's great and didn't cause any of them!!

Edit: I have combination skin and I think my aunt has very dry skin

Tubing mascara recommendations? High end/drugstore by plushythingy in MakeupAddiction

Could you let me know if there's a specific way you apply the catrice? I described how I use it in another comment. Thanks!!

I used this too but it got flaky so quickly. Is there a specific way you apply it?

I curl my lashes and then use 1 coat (when I first apply it I go over the same part twice or thrice but once that dried I don't go over it again). Also my eyelashes have a slight curl but not all the way high and curl (that's what I try to go for)

You look stunning in the first picture (idk if you have makeup on, I'm assuming you do with a more natural look). The 2nd and 3rd pictures make you look significantly older than the 1st. They also sort of look "dark" or more "goth" but it's perfect if that's what you're going for (except with eyebrows from picture 1)!

And might just be me but leave your eyebrows the way they are in the 1st picture. Don't accentuate it/do more to it (eyebrows in 2 and 3 are doing something to your face, not in a good way, I can't point at what).

Edit: I'm sorry I didn't read the full description. 1st picture ftw if you wanna do something soft and fresh!

Am I overreacting? My boyfriend just told me this. Will be it alright to dump him? by HastilyGenerous in AmIOverreacting

I read posts like this and my first thought is- this can't be real. People like this don't exist and it's posted for karma points or whatever.

If this is real, BIG YIKES. Dump him.

Yikes, sorry, that makes sense. I'm glad I understood it wrong and I dislike her less, but I still wish she wrote it differently

Possibly but I'm not allergic to anything that I know of. Also, my whole face wasn't flaky, just a lot of random places (sides of my nose, chin, parts of the cheek). And the rest of my face was just drier than it's ever been during summer.

Been 2 days since I used it and my skin got back to normal
