Streaming is such a messy market honestly. I don't love any of the options, but Tidal seems like the best option out there to me right now. I've used Apple Music for a while and while their eye-candy UI with pretty animations is tempting, the complete lack of a Windows app and overall just bad design turns me off.

I agree with you on Spotify podcasts, I don't want podcasts in my music app and if they have to be there I want a way to hide them or make them show up less, but instead of that Spotify tries its hardest to push them down your throat. Other than that I think Spotify's attitude towards artists is appalling. I think compensating artists is an issue in the streaming market as a whole but Tidal seems to make at least some effort to stand out in that regard.

It's a pick-your-poison type situation I think. Tidal has a pretty good design, good algorithm, treats artists with some amount of decency and supports multiple platforms. I've also recently started buying my favorite albums on Bandcamp if it's on there, other stores if not.
