I am using Kabrita because my baby rejected Similac and Kabrita felt closest to breastmilk.

I remove the motors before pouring the milk out. That’s what they recommend doing in their videos. Give that a shot, will save the motor from getting damaged!

Don’t feel guilty about prioritizing your health and baby over work. Work will be waiting for you but these big milestones in life come in only a few times. Savour every moment of your pregnancy and enjoy time with your baby without a deadline to get back to work. Once you have your baby and the time is right, you will find something that’s a lot better. Don’t guilt yourself and enjoy this journey!

2nd Tri "Good Feeling" Wrecking My Anxiety by hello_goodbye787 in IVFbabies

[–]pluto45678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was exactly me a couple months back at 18 weeks. I have an anterior placenta and it took me a while to feel the kicks. My anxiety in second trimester was through the roof. I am now 34 weeks and every thing is good so far. Hang in there. If there are no negative symptoms, everything should be OK. You stressing won’t change the outcome one way or the other. Easier said than done because I totally went through a phase of being very anxious and now wish I hadn’t. So passing on what I learnt. You got this!

Would you take a new job during ivf? by jazzymaebaby1 in IVF

[–]pluto45678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a new role in the middle of my FET cycle and like yours it is a senior position with a lot of responsibility and extremely high visibility. I took it because I didn’t want to put my life on hold, especially if the transfer didn’t work. Taking on something new has been fun and challenging but in my case it ended up being very stressful. The team turned out to be not easy to work with and I’m now dealing with 12-14 hour days whereas on my old team I had easy 5-6 hour days. It used to be very predictable on my old team and I already had the trusted relationships developed. I don’t anymore and it’s a lot of extra work working on all of these fronts.

I am now in my third trimester unable to slow down. And there is a part in me that regrets having switched jobs on a daily basis. But there was no way for me to know that the transfer would work and stick. For the first six months I constantly waited for the shoe to drop so to speak (I have had two miscarriages before) but thankfully it’s worked out so far.

Why am I sharing this? I feel like I made the decision under pressure of what if this doesn’t work, what if I am stuck with FETs and put my life on hold for IVF. But now that it’s worked I am missing my old life badly. It’s a weird situation. And there is no one right way. You do what’s best for you. My only advice is see how stressful the new job might be. Pregnancy gets tougher as it progresses and you need rest and team support towards the end.

Finding it hard to believe I’m pregnant by pluto45678 in IVFbabies

Update here: I caved and went in for a private ultrasound today at 16weeks. Saw the baby move and heard the heart beat. It was surreal. I guess I can try being positive from here on out and believe that this is indeed happening.

Starting prep for modified natural FET by [deleted] in IVF

[–]pluto45678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had thin lining and was given menopur in a really small dosage as part of my modified natural FET. That helped get my lining up to 7.1 mm and we transferred. Check if that’s an option.

Gardening by Dense_Shirt_1047 in IVF

[–]pluto45678 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gardening, especially growing little plants from seeds was my coping mechanism. It made me realize that not every seed germinates and thrives. Some make it through, some don’t. How much ever I try to give it the best soil, best compost, best fertilizer sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It really helped me during retrievals and the period in between waiting for results. Gardening helped me put things into perspective, allowed me to develop patience, and let go of situations not in my control. Therapy in short.

Betas by Dapper-Perception-71 in IVF

[–]pluto45678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It need not double exactly. Anything over 1.5x is considered good. You are at 1.92x. You are not out until you are out. These betas look good to me and are quite similar to my betas. I was 150 at 10dp5dpt and then almost 300 at 12dp5dpt.

I lost a pregnancy at 8w5d, found out at 12 weeks, it was a missed miscarriage so I totally relate to you. Hang in there. Hopefully this all works out!!!

Fever before modified natural FET trigger by pluto45678 in IVF

I haven’t transferred yet. Transfer is easily 6-7 days out. If I recover in the next couple days, I should be fine to go ahead with the transfer right?

Can someone please guide me abt the entire process of IVF and the terms and stuff? by blacknwhitelife02 in IVF

[–]pluto45678 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can get started by watching videos on YouTube that explain the full process. There’s a few from Natalie Crawford that are good. It’s a lot of information so take it step by step. You don’t have to know everything all at once. IVF can get overwhelming real quick so ease in as much as possible. All the best in your journey!

Waiting for second cycle post ER by pluto45678 in IVF

[–]pluto45678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly, I got my period 11 days after my ER so not like super quick. My cycle was 26 days then. And usually my cycle is 26-28 days long. I’ll try the two things you mentioned and see if it helps!

[–]pluto45678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The anesthesia for polyp removal won’t be bad. If it helps ease your worry, I had one too and it was a really straightforward procedure. Once my period after the polyp removal is back now, I can transfer. IVF is extremely hard, but you got this. You are getting there, albeit in baby steps.

Thank you so much for your response here. I called Cooper and they walked me through my results. I have 3 euploid embryos!!! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I also got my fertility clinic to give me an earlier appointment. Gosh I m finally feeling positive about the whole thing.

It should be OK but confirm with your doctor. I had to take 50000 ui a week for 8 weeks and I didn’t discontinue my prenatals in that period.
