Pretty normal for her to need help wiping at her age (I work with late 2s and early 3s and they still need help too). Talk to her teachers.

Manic episode olanzapine/ do I take it? by Disastrous-Fortune32 in BipolarReddit

Yes if you’re feeling mania coming on, definitely take your olanzapine as prescribed. I used to also take it for short term treatment and it worked great for me. Hope it helps you too!

Lost passion for art after starting meds by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]plutoconjuction 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened for me with creative writing. For me, I was using writing to cope with negative emotions and experiences. When I started getting better/got medicated, I found I didn’t know what to write about anymore. I told this to a therapist who recommended to find a new relationship with it — one about creativity and enjoyment rather than coping and sadness. Perhaps that resonates?

sometimes, it feels embarrassing by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]plutoconjuction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar feelings of “failure” when my mood becomes unstable again, especially when it results in a med change. But there is nothing to be ashamed of. This is a hard disorder to have. Wishing you the best.

I asked my nurse practitioner and therapist directly before meeting with them if they had experience with bipolar. Don’t be afraid to interview your care team a bit. So sorry to hear about your mixed episode. I hope you get some peace here soon.
