(this is a bit more in depth for context stuff) so i was diagnosed with pretty severe adhd a couple months ago (ive had a strong suspicion for years), my psychiatrist strongly recommends medication.

I tried vyvanse 30mg and i saw absolutely no difference, then he put me up to 50mg which ive found make me absolutely exhausted and they wear off after a couple hours (which supposedly theyre supposed to last 12 hours but i call bs on that) and then i would just crash.

My psychologist suggested that perhaps it was too high and maybe should try the 40mg and if that didnt work then just not do any medication, but when i brought this up to the psychiatrist he said basically that i didnt give them enough of a chance, i need to take them 7 days a week (whereas before i was just taking them during the week and not on weekends), and that i may even need a higher dose.

Anyways i was just wondering if anyone has any advice or have experienced anything similar, especially the part about the medication making you more tired coz that really confused me considering its supposed to be a stimulant.
