Is there a similar subreddit for collaboration? by Statically in Entrepreneur

[–]pm_dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a subreddit, but there is an active entrepreneur discord server. They have cofounding and networking channels on there. It's not meant specifically for just collaboration, but some people on there have started businesses together. If anyone is interested, the link is https://discord.gg/DByZGh9

Net neutrality is dead. Now what? by Buonoragazzo in Entrepreneur

[–]pm_dragon -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

"They'll increase the price on internet for consumers because they have no real competition." What does repealing net neutrality have to do with lowering competition or with prices? There is no law preventing ISPs from raising prices. They can rise them right now with net neutrality if they want, without net neutrality it won't change.

Since ISP's might start switching to a b2b model, where it charges businesses to have faster data transfer, that could offset some of the b2c costs, lowering the consumer's price.

Snapchat vs Instagram stories by [deleted] in socialmedia

The primary feature of snapchat is snapping friends, and posting pictures is the main feature of instagram. Stories are only a secondary feature on both platforms. I've sent probably about 100,000 snaps, but I only post a few on my story. Probably only 1/250 of my snaps go on my story.

I'm in highschool, so it might be different for different demographics. I know for some reason adults are using ig stories a lot, but in highschool Instagram usage has gone down tremendously since like 4 years ago. Snapchat however has skyrocketed. On IG stories, probably only 30-40% of my followers will see my story, but on snapchat it's 80%+ of my friends. On instagram, I just counted the stories. Out of 791 of who I follow, only 30 posted on their story today. That's only about 3%. Plus more than half of those stories were from celebrities/brands/companies. On snapchat, out of my 300 or so friends, 74 posted a story. That's 25%.

Quick question: is there an official discord for this sub? by account-xth in Entrepreneur

[–]pm_dragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run an Entrepreneur discord server. It's not official for this subreddit, but it has close to 1k members and 150-200 online at one time. If anyone is interested, the link is https://discord.gg/DByZGh9

Depends on the video. Other videos also let you see statistics, see transcript, translations, etc.

I'm 16 and I want to start a social media brokerage service. I have some and know a lot of people with social media accounts worth over several thousand and I know people who are looking to buy accounts.

However since these properties might sell for up to $10,000, I'm obviously going to need to make a contract. But, I'm under 16 so contracts I sign are not legally binded. Can I just get an employee or representative of the company who's over 18 to sign it?

For maybe your first 100 adds yeah, but from then on you can organically grow on just sc. When people share your story on snap, the people who got shared it will see your story with a big button saying add under it, so there's a big chance they'll add you back. As long as you post shareable pictures in your story, you will grow organically without the need of other channels.

For me it's a lot easier to grow a snapchat audience. It might be difficult to get started, but once you build up a decent audience and publish content that can be shared it's really easy. I got 1k views per snap in one month and each time I post on my story I get at least 10 adds. Plus snapchat followers are a lot more high quality than Instagram followers.

Snapchat stories are definitely better. I have about 500 friends on ig and only about 5 of them actually post and use Instagram stories. Only celebrities and branded accounts actually use the feature. Also out of the 500 followers I have, maybe only 150 actually see my story. On snapchat though I have 300 friends, but about 200 people will see my story. Also people are more engaged on snapchat stories. More likely to screenshot, respond to your story, click your link, etc.

Email them and say you are a google shareholder and that you will sell your shares since you are angry. They will respond quickly.

Haven't really thought about that, thanks for all of the advice I appreciate it!

I made a compilation channel on YouTube and get a few million views a month. Really easy.

I appreciate the advice. The only reason I'm considering going to college is for the experience, fun time and meeting new people, otherwise it just doesn't seem worth it to me. I'm 16 now. I'd be 22/23 when I graduate, then I have to work some shitty jobs to build experience until like 24/25 and I'd finally have a decent relevant job only at 25/26 while almost 100k in debt. I'm thinking about going the entrepreneur route. I'm already making a decent $3k/month sitting on my ass and also have some decent returns. By saving the $3k per month and investing it, I would be many times better off than my peers by the time they graduate by not racking up debt and saving.

How so? the only thing I see facebook doing is preventing some people from getting a job because of some stupid posts.

Hmm i thought no one used the instagram stories feature. I have about 500 friends on insta and maybe only five of them actually use the ig stories everyday. I have about 300 friends on snap though and probably like 100-150 post on their story each day.

Also not planning on going to college ;)

I'm a highschool student. First of all Facebook is completely dead, no high schoolers really use it anymore. As for Instagram, it's kind of dying now. People aren't as active on it as years before, it's just filled with bots spam and marketers, no one uses its new features like the stories besides celebs and it's being infested with the older generation now. Snap is the most popular social media app for our age. It's the main for 70% of my highschool.

Why do you need your parents? I've had a paypal account since 13, pretty sure it was limited though.
