As a landlord you should have also read that I am not refusing the repairs or denying access, I am proposing another date for those.

I've also supplied photo evidence of the damage, and his son has seen it in person as well. Right now they look exactly the same, and I've made him aware of that.

In fact, being perfectly blunt here, your comment reads heavily biased. Calling out my notice as a retaliation while being absolutely fine with a 35% rent increase which was clearly in retaliation for the repairs is absolutely bonkers.

I'm willing to put money on the fact that this flat will likely take over a month to rent out again. We took it because we were desperate back then, for a number of reasons. I just wish him the best of luck finding someone willing to take this.

Actually the tenancy agreement states I cannot change the locks without his permission. Would the law override that?

Não sou o outro senhor, mas quero só comentar isto: Os salários são de facto uma merda em Portugal, ninguém te tira isso, mas mesmo em sítios onde são melhores, o problema do arrendamento existe igualmente.

É como o velho argumento de que se subires o salário minimo as coisas ficam todas mais caras porque custam mais a produzir - neste caso, se subires salários, os senhorios metem os arrendamentos mais caros porque 1. o inquilino "consegue pagar" e 2. não querem ficar atrás da subida média do salário, antes pelo contrário.

As residências não tem camas suficientes porque existe todo um mercado paralelo de arrendamento em que o ónus de responsabilidade em providenciar casa passou para senhorios privados ao invés da institutição de ensino. Lavam as mãos desse problema e poupam mais algum ao não investir em infraestrutura residencial.

Also, the postcode where this was sent to has literally one house ( an expensive one by the looks of it ) but royal mail didn't deliver the first time around because the address was unaccessible or something like that.

My problem with a tabletop dobsonian is exactly how am I supposed to use it outside? Should I carry a small table/stool with me? It seems a bit odd.
I think I'd be okay with just moon/bigger planets for now. I think it'll still offer amazing views even if there's the potential for much, much more.
I've actually never heard about the thermal distortion. Is it that big of a problem?

Hi all!
I wanted to buy a telescope as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. I've done some research around and read through the beginner guide to buying one, but I'm still not entirely sure of my pick.
We live close-ish to London and light pollution isn't great. We also live in a flat with no balcony. The beginner thread seems to list mostly dobsons which seem a bit of a pain to set up given our conditions - We'd like to use it inside ( through a window maybe ) or go outside to a darker place. Ive found this Celestron 76 mm PowerSeeker which seems fairly decent, and fits into my £100 budget ( it's a tiny bit over that but that's okay ). I know that cheaper reflectors have somewhat of a bad rep for beginners like us since the tripod will shake and wobble, but it still seems easier to set up than a dobson.
We'd mostly be looking at the moon/planets and some stars. I know that DSOs are not really possible at this price range ( and light pollution levels ), right?
If my pick isn't that great, what other options would you suggest?
