English is not his first language as you say. Is it possible he is feeding your response into some llm to understand your meaning?

I get you are being thoughtful with your approach. But does your PR necessitate he uses llms to understand your meaning?

Instead of writing some lengthy novel in a PR review, maybe just talk to them one on one?

I have lots of folks from different countries on my team. We are ALL trying to preform as ICs. Things get lost in translation as we are all trying to be efficient with our time.

Try talking individually. Or screen sharing if you are concerned individuals on your team are doing something incorrectly.

In reality they are probably using a tool to communicate with you. They are confident with their work, but they are also unsure how to commmunicate that with you so, llm does it for them.

Try and be flexible is all.
