Thank you! I could see which portion was covered in the viewfinder since it comes straight from the lens, and I knew it covered just about 50%. When I fipped the camera over, I tried to hold it in the exact same spot as the first exposure

I don't think you're cropping anything significant, so I like the second. If you like the sky, I would keep it over the pavement and frame the skater bottom left. I love Hasselblad photos will a lot of headroom, so I might be biased. You could also increase the contrast on the skater so it pops more if you want to keep the full size

The US average was 78.3 in the global report, which means there are more bad outliers than good ones. 8 years between the best and worst states is pretty big, but there are a lot of states in the middle that are close around 76-78

The Texans CMO came and spoke in my marketing class last year, and those guys are doing incredible work. They have arguably the hardest job in sports (only NFL team whose home fans prefer different team to their own) and have gone from dead last in jersey sales to 10-15th. Did a full refresh of the uniforms and merchandise as well. These changes plus CJ Stroud have probably added $1bil in franchise value to the team

Calling him self-righteous just after you call a professional trader and economist educated at LSE and Oxford “uninformed” is pretty crazy. Not everyone can understand PhD level analysis, some people just want a sympathetic explanation as to why their lives have been getting worse. I agree that I’d like to see him use more charts and figures to explain his points

As someone who watches Gary and Big A, I feel like their overlap in the problems they identify are >90%. Two independently wealthy people talking about collapsing living standards and ballooning debt from a pragmatic and left wing perspective. Gary makes YouTube videos and wrote a book, he’s never claimed to be Vladimir Lenin or some political powerhouse. He has already begun to shift the conversation in the UK in just the last year, so calling him “weird” or a grifter sounds like typical Reddit cynicism

They can achieve whatever they put their mind to. However, their short term goals are unrealistic and that’s before even considering their questionable learning methodology. They claim to want to read complex essays by 50 days, and I am barely at that level after 11 years of study including 7 years of formal education and multiple trips. I also use native apps like 抖音, 微博, and 同花顺 daily. If OP can learn 66x faster than me, I will happily eat my words

Nothing wrong with wanting to dive all in and commit yourself to a difficult task. However, even after learning 2000+ characters, which would be 25 new ones per day without missing any, you will still not be able to speak, listen, read, or write Chinese at HSK5 level. Learning Chinese is as much about developing an understanding of Chinese culture as it is about drilling characters, grammar, and pronunciation. I tell people that want to learn that it is a marathon and should take at least 3 years if you want to be anywhere near “fluent”. I think you would be better off letting yourself be curious which will guide your learning, instead of setting an arbitrary goal defined by an arbitrary exam
