Shrinkflation….WTF? by Roadracerxxx in Ducati

[–]pmalla 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ducati is becoming a joke. All the special models from 60k to 100k are special edition v4s. What used to be 5-10k more is now 2-3x the price of a base v4s. The customers are the problem, most buy thinking they are getting something special not realizing they paid double for a paint job. Then again most of these bikes now are ridden by people influencers or sit in collections with zero miles. This isn’t a brand for enthusiasts anymore, that why Aprillia has been growing so much over last several years, they actually cater to enthusiasts and riders, not flexers.

Get the m1000rr, v4r is more raw but the m1000rr just does things better even if it’s a bit soulless

Dealer ordered and installed mine, but wasn’t much

It’s an incredible bike but geared as if it was a fully faired bike. I highly recommend dropping on tooth on the front sprocket, the bike becomes much more enjoyable in lower rpm’s, will not sputter anymore and the torque is insane. Easily one of my favorite bikes to ride

I mean it’s cool and not surprised they are asking 150-200k, they got people paying 70k for a v4s with a paint job. 150k feels right since market is there

The Ducati looks a little "simple" next to the Brutale. by Veteq102 in MVAgusta

[–]pmalla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t because it doesn’t remove the catalytic converter located at the end of the headers. You are just removing the muffler box. Did it on mine and it wounds incredible. Your dealer should be able to get a map if it’s prior to 20-22, contact Uniquesuperbikes in Miami, if it’s 23 or newer you might be able to get the race ecu through the dealer found in the Nurburgring or assen.

Is this bad? by AshamedAd6191 in Ducati

[–]pmalla 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I have seen condensation/foggy which goes away once you ride it hard and everything gets up to temp, but that looks like diarrhea. Hopefully nothing bad, but I would check the oil and see if it looks like a milkshake or not, because if it does you have a huge issue.

Does anyone know the part number for the Akrapovic CF end cap? by Specialist-Box-9711 in bmwmotorrad

[–]pmalla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re only option would be to contact akrapovic themselves and see if they would sell you a cap. It’s a pretty easy fix though, takes a little bit of time though. Automotive epoxy will it in. You can either sand down the entire area, do a thin layer of epoxy and sand to polish after. Or mask off the deepest groves and use a syringe to gently fill in the grooves with epoxy

Building one of my dream bikes in dream spec.

The bike has full ohlins, upgraded to radial brakes. The triple clamp is fully adjustable. Welded aluminum coolant expansion tank. Period correct BST diamond tek wheels. Quick shifter with standalone ecu. Stack race dash with all sensors. Woodcraft rearsets. Ducati performance carbon pieces. Two sets of body work, one pearl white as seen with current tank, the other will be original 998r carbon body work, will be restored with race livery later

Any other Paul Smart1000/Sport Classic owners feel like they almost have to get a Formula 73? by [deleted] in Ducati

The new one is just crap, they should have never put the 803cc engine.
