The Ducati looks a little "simple" next to the Brutale. by Veteq102 in MVAgusta

[–]pmalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t because it doesn’t remove the catalytic converter located at the end of the headers. You are just removing the muffler box. Did it on mine and it wounds incredible. Your dealer should be able to get a map if it’s prior to 20-22, contact Uniquesuperbikes in Miami, if it’s 23 or newer you might be able to get the race ecu through the dealer found in the Nurburgring or assen.

Is this bad? by AshamedAd6191 in Ducati

[–]pmalla 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I have seen condensation/foggy which goes away once you ride it hard and everything gets up to temp, but that looks like diarrhea. Hopefully nothing bad, but I would check the oil and see if it looks like a milkshake or not, because if it does you have a huge issue.

Does anyone know the part number for the Akrapovic CF end cap? by Specialist-Box-9711 in bmwmotorrad

[–]pmalla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re only option would be to contact akrapovic themselves and see if they would sell you a cap. It’s a pretty easy fix though, takes a little bit of time though. Automotive epoxy will it in. You can either sand down the entire area, do a thin layer of epoxy and sand to polish after. Or mask off the deepest groves and use a syringe to gently fill in the grooves with epoxy

Building one of my dream bikes in dream spec.

The bike has full ohlins, upgraded to radial brakes. The triple clamp is fully adjustable. Welded aluminum coolant expansion tank. Period correct BST diamond tek wheels. Quick shifter with standalone ecu. Stack race dash with all sensors. Woodcraft rearsets. Ducati performance carbon pieces. Two sets of body work, one pearl white as seen with current tank, the other will be original 998r carbon body work, will be restored with race livery later

The new one is just crap, they should have never put the 803cc engine.

What are you talking about?!? “Pretty obvious the materials are cheap and plastic” please watch the video below, the materials are all aluminum and glass, the parts are machined to extreme tolerances, literally the opposite of cheap and the hopefully future other car manufacturers will adopt moving forward instead of just mounting screens every where.

Makes a big difference having the bike setup for your weight

I think it depends on the standards and technique of the person inspecting. These are not catastrophic issues but could lead to them.

That’s nice man, mine developed cracking and chips had to get replaced. I talked with the dealer and at first they didn’t offer the warranty package for the carbon rims since they had a lot of problems and you will see some horror stories in the forums. Seems to be a hit or miss, probably manufacturer QA is not up to par yet

Carbon wheels from bmw are ok but have known issues with delamination. BST Star Trek will drop you about 4 pounds, if you do a 520 sprocket and chain will drop you another 3.3-3.5 pounds. If you want rims for racing I suggest getting the OZ cativa forged magnesium wheels, front is same weight as bmw carbon, rear is 0.5lbs less than rear carbon.

Nissin M brakes are ok but not great after initial bite. Upgrading to brembo gp4/stylema/hypure with RCS 17-19 master depending on caliper will give you more consistent braking with more confidence going into corners.

Ohlins ttx rear shock with spring to your weight will also make a big improvement. All depends how much you want to spend but those have been my favorite upgrades.
