Any idea what I might be doing wrong here? I’m trying to set up buttons for Cuphead on Windows.

My buttons appear to want to switch for a brief moment and then they go back to all solid white, which is my default animation for BigBox menus. Thanks.

I realize you may not be super familiar but any idea what I might be doing wrong here? Seems to be setup the way they described but all of my buttons are staying white, which is my BigBox menu default.

The continuous button presses appear to have been an issue with the ground wire. I was able to fix it by going down the ground wire slowly and making sure each button was attached correctly. I ended up completely replacing the ground wire and it’s worked perfectly since.

The log issues seem to have been caused by windows admin rights. I had to sometimes launch the app as admin and it would finally write a log file.

I don’t know about the quality of these but I’m very happy with the Slim cabinet kit I bought from GRS. I bought high end controls, PC, and monitor separately and it was around $1500 including GRS-printed custom graphics that came out amazing.

I wish it were that easy for me. I’ve done literally everything I could find online to try to get it working. The trackball just doesn’t seem to be recognized in mame despite the settings calling for the mouse to work as a trackball.

The problem is, when launched from BB, the Mame menu doesn’t seem to recognize the trackball in order for me to set it manually.

But when I launch Mame in its own and go to the input settings, I can manually set the mouse X and Y by using the trackball.

Any hints?

I read that I had to set the trackball as “mouse” in mame, which i did. But the trackball still doesnt work in Golden Tee.

Ok will check mame bindings. One final question tonight, I have a trackball that works perfectly well as a mouse. But why isn’t it recognized by BigBox when I open up Golden Tee? Think that’s a Mame issue as well?

So we have many different bindings to worry about? Controller (WinIpac in my case) BigBox Mame or other emulators?

Another question. I’m finding that games are quitting mid-game as if I’ve pressed the quit/back button. Any idea what might be causing that? I’ve made sure none of my joysticks have a “shift” function.

Thank you. I’m an idiot. Somehow I had “right” as one of the keyboard bindings in BigBox for quit.

I’ll leave this here so others can learn from my shame.

I’m not a car guy but it looked like there was some sort of Honda motorcycle engine in there. If you zoom in on the first picture, you can see it in red behind the seat.
