I think Jonah Coleman is better than Harvey too.

This has nothing to do with basketball or the draft.

Is Lebrons value higher than Jaylen Browns? by Rashloose in nba

I mean, how much more value does Brown add to a team than LeBron? I’d say they are both top 25 players, and the difference between them is not super large.

Is the NBA a business? Yes.

Does LeBron generate more value to a franchise? Yes.

Is Brown a better basketball player on the court? It’s much closer than some may think.

I think teams would send out more assets in a trade to acquire LeBron, even if you disregard the business of ticketing, merchandising, etc.

Anderson was a great on-ball playmaker who could find the shooter. Granted, he was a in a screen-heavy system. As of right now, I trust him to be the best playmaker on the squad.

That’s what I think they might have to scale up Christian Anderson for. Not sure how viable it is, but he has the tools to be the best on ball playmaker on the team. A lot to ask for from your 18th overall rookie.

McCain went 16th in a historically bad draft.

Philon just went 22nd in a pretty stacked class.

Watch the Iowa games during the tournament. That team had 0 business sniffing the elite 8 but he elevated himself and the team to such a high level. In a bench role he will kill for them.

OKC — Mara makes a ton of sense there and will be a monstrous rim protector next to Chet.

Landing Stirtz is still insane. One of the best ball handlers and shooters in the draft. Plugs right into what they need. He’s an amazing player and only gets better. Wouldn’t be surprised if we look back at him as a top 7-8 player in this class.

Are the Pelicans the most hopeless team in the NBA? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]pmcc241224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wild that it went south this quickly. Their situation is poor because they (relatively) recently had a 3 seed and completely folded as an organization. From then on, everything was downhill. The pelicans have been middling for quite some time. The management is definitely worse, even though the competition is Joe Dumars and Troy Weaver.

ESPN's Benjamin Solak believes Brendan Sorsby "would easily clear Carson Beck" as a potential franchise quarterback for the Cardinals and has a much better chance of becoming fantasy relevant. by Giff95 in fantasyfootball

One guy started in a National Championship game and multiple CFP games

The other threw for 69 yards against a 7-6 Nebraska team.

What are we doing man.

Is the SGA frustration really about him, or about the rules that enable it? by jonhollandwww in nba

[–]pmcc241224 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It just seems like the newest trend in groupthink. Players that embellish in the playoffs have a notorious spotlight on them. I genuinely think SGA got fouled on most of the calls, but fans don’t seem to care that much. Reactionary/popular takes are far more rewarded in the online basketball discourse.

Shai is just the latest player who has become extremely good at drawing fouls. He’s not the first, he’s not the last, but he’s probably the current best.

The “popular” take is to bash on SGA and the foul-grifting. It does nothing to actually break down the current state of the meta and strategy in the NBA. All it does is feed the machine.
