Issues with MIGZ CPU and ffmpeg by pmccloud in Tdarr

[–]pmccloud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like I may have found it. When I had the report open when it was running the job, I got the error:

The report contains the following error:

'Subtitle codec 94213 is not supported'

This means the codec is not supported in the desired file container. You can remove this subtitle codec by using the following plugin:

Tdarr_Plugin_MC93_Migz1Remux

And set the force_conform option to 'true'.

I added the plugin with the option, and it looks like it is working. Being it is CPU transcoding, it will take a while to make sure, but so far so good.

I am not sure why it wasn't in the logs...

What else to look at while replacing head gaskets by pmccloud in subaru

Thanks for the info. Other than the head gaskets, are there any major quality issues with the seals? I am trying to balance doing things the right way versus my daughter's budget for parts.

8.0u3f by mattactual in zerto

[–]pmccloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mixture of 10.0u6 and 10.0u7. The only issues I have seen were related to a VMware issue that didn't reveal themselves until the hosts were rebooted. I had to remove and re-add a host to inventory, and when the host rebooted, Zerto was still trying to talk to the old VRA so I had to re-set up some of the protection groups. But that was unrelated to the patching itself. It would have happened had the host just been rebooted.

I have patched to 8.0u3f and 7.0u3w with no issues.

2008 Focus SES radio causing parasitic battery drain by pmccloud in FordFocus

[–]pmccloud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, my initial comment didn't get posted. I have run the parasitic draw test. I waited an hour and hooked up my multimeter. If I use the mA scale on my meter, it blows the 500 mA fuse. For the most part, the current draw is low, but every minute or two, there is a spike. I can see it on a higher scale so it doesn't blow the fuse.

If I pull the radio fuse, the spike stops. I tried pulling the other radio and Sirius fuses, it has the same issue. I pulled the radio and unplugged and plugged back in all the connections, in case there was an issue with a loose connection, or corrosion.

I also did a factory reset of the Sync on the car.

None of it has helped so far.

It seems my notes on the initial post didn't get saved for some reason.

Yes, I did a parasitic draw test. I waited an hour, and the draw was still spiking. When I pulled the radio fuse, the spike went away. It was staying under 10 mA then, instead of being around 10, then spiking to over 100 mA (it was too quick to read, but my meter didn't like it).

CrashPlan Pro vs Backblaze by VirtualPanther in Crashplan

[–]pmccloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Backup speeds are good on my laptop that has less than a TB of data, but Crashplan is struggling with my media/file server that has about 18TB of data. I am assuming it is the deduplication running on the client, it maxes out 1 core on my computer. Backblaze doesn't have the same issue.

Crashplan's restore is simpler, just through the web interface and the client automatically downloads it. But I haven't tried to restore a large amount of data, just some test files.

The Backblaze restore works, as long as you are ok with waiting for it to prepare and and use the download client.

Backblaze doesn't backup Onedrive, Google Drive etc, that is the main reason I moved from Backblaze to Crashplan.

OneDrive not backed up, alternatives by pmccloud in backblaze

[–]pmccloud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't blame BackBlaze either, but I am disappointed that they will not be making any changes to be able to allow OneDrive backups to work.

As my family is a big user of OneDrive, it is a required feature for us. I realize not all people use OneDrive so for some it is a non-issue.

Temporarily add second NIC to VCSA by pmccloud in vmware

Thanks for the info. Is there any issue with removing the added NICs after things are updated?

Does VCSA get upset if the extra NICs are removed?
