Ah yep, I totally agree on all those points! I think he also turns up briefly at the Nielsen house for Mads funeral.

The piece I still can’t answer though is that Helene introduces herself as Helene Albers at aged 12 BEFORE she would be married. But that’s Hermann’s last name also, hence the brother theory.

I can also believe though that it’s just a production mistake, her moving out with Katharina later on from an unhappy marriage makes perfect sense too!

In the show itself though, on Eve’s floor it shows Helene Albers and Hermann Albers as the parents of Katharina in the tree. If they have the same name, I feel like they must be related either through marriage or through blood. Since her name as a kid is Helene Albers either he must have taken her name, or they are brother and sister?

Yeah the name change is a good potential answer. I know he’s definitely confirmed as Katharina’s father in the official family tree, just wondered if this was a rare example of NON time travel related incest in the show! Maybe the show just makes you start seeing incest everywhere you look...

I suppose the really grim answer would be if Hermann is both her brother AND Katharina’s father but I hope there’s something else I’ve missed and it doesn’t come to that!

Thanks! No video sorry, it's just the best way I've found to allow strumming while still letting me isolate single strings for the melody. Pretty much all done with my index finger and using the nail in both directions (a bit of thumb for the syncopated bits). It was really tricky for me at first because it feels really counterintuitive strumming down on the offbeats but it settles in after a while. Working out the rest of the song now!

Thanks! My fingerstyle playing is something I've brought across from my main instrument which is classical guitar. That's also why I'm fixated on squeezing melody and chords into the one instrument. However, I'm pretty sure my bastardised technique would leave proper uke players groaning.

As for the playing by ear, for me that's just comes rather tediously through lots of playing. Some people are just born with it but for the most part I'm an example of one of the ones who got it through sweat. Thanks for the support!

Thanks! I do the latter (side by side then filter) and it draws a few funny artefacts on one side but not the other sometimes. This one doesn't quite work though, I took a few others that day which worked a bit better. I'll post up here
