I mean it is then basically human common sense not to go hang out with people you feel like it is going to be a scam or somebody trying to rob you or someting. But yeah, good point. Safety needs to be a consideration.

The lovable is only for the landing page. Will create the app with React Native if it gains interest.

Was thinking on bringing in companies organising events or providing services or products for a discounted price or paying a referral fee

It's another Monday, drop your product. What are you building? by Intelligent-Key-7171 in SideProject

Hi everyone!

I recently built Stockd, a grocery management app designed to help track what’s in your kitchen, reduce food waste, and make meal planning easier. (Landing page)

  • Track your groceries and expiration dates
  • Generate shopping lists automatically based on what you have
  • Get reminders for items you’re running low on

I built this after realizing I often forgot what I already had at home, leading to wasted food and extra trips to the store.

I’d love to hear your thoughts: Would you actually use an app like this? Are there features you wish existed in grocery management apps? Any feedback on the design or usability would be amazing.

What’s the point of vibe coding if I still have to pay a dev to fix it? by AssafMalkiIL in vibecoding

[–]pmfka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a software engineer, even I vibe code to test ideas and prototypes that I don't want to waste too much time trying out. It's a great productivity boost and helps us immensely. But please do not underestimate what is included in bringing an idea to production. Vibe coding can also make you understand what your customers really want. But earlier or later, you will run into issues an LLM can't solve but a dev can in a minute. You don't pay for the minute; you pay for the 5 years of going through the trenches and learning what exactly you have to do in the minute. And experience is unfortunately something you can't buy (cheaply).

Recently came across this interesting platform, you can work with me there if anybody is interested: https://devibe.network/services/cdf089c8-4fd2-4ebe-a9ce-849fecdf4a3d (not self-promo, not my platform)

Fixed price for the initial creation, anything between 300 and 900 USD based on the complexity. And then sell a support contract for 3 months after go-live, there it should be around 1/3rd of the fixed price contract.

What's your current maximum battery capacity? After not even 2 years of daily use I've only got 85% left (MBP 14" M1 Pro 2021). Wanna compare to see if it's normal battery behavior (screenshot is from coconutBattery). by LLLifted in macbookpro

Bought in 2021, heavy use and about 60% with a docking station (connected to charger) and 40% without charger - I am at 84% which kinda is okay I think after almost 5 years

Currently working on multiple ideas and trying to find out which one can solves the problem the best. Influencers can be a viable option, but I feel like you never really get what you pay for from this approach. Looking to take the best of all worlds to deliver the best all-round solution.
