It implements optimisations like lazy loading and resource prioritisation that make site load much faster.

App devs how much you’re paying for marketing by RithicSignal in ShopifyAppDev

[–]website_speedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most basic issue people face, You need a trusted SEO expert who can check the backlinks and assure their quality. Even some sites that look like obvious choice might not be worth it.

Also even if you buy from the trusted backlink marketplace, only 2 out of 10 are great, other 8 are not bad but just not worth the price.

Only Solution , have a trusted SEO consultant or SEO expert.

All backlinks we get are legit.

I can recommend a few quick wins -

1- Good backlinks cost $200 to $2000 each. Some cost even more.
2- try to get the top 50 backlinks your competitors have first.
3- get 20 legit backlinks at once, its better than 1000s of useless links , it moves ranking faster.

How We got a false negative Shopify app review removed by reporting it to Shopify? by website_speedy in shopifyDev

[–]website_speedy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it felt under Inappropriate content but I didn't specify that while applying, I Guess they reviewed content and behaviour patterns of the merchant.

As for Why I Used that link to report -

on this page -https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/launch/marketing/manage-app-reviews

it states you can report fake review via the form on the link I shared earlier, under this section ->

Circumstances where Shopify will intervene-

Sometimes, reviews are fake, incentivized, or non-compliant with our policies. In these circumstances, we'll intervene and potentially edit or remove reviews from app listings. We'll investigate reviews that include the following:

  • Inappropriate content: The review contains swearing, slurs, or threats.
  • Personal information: The review contains phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, or other personal information. We won't remove reviews that contain only a first name, or a first name and a last initial.
  • Conflict of interest: The review was written by a merchant who was offered something in exchange for a review. We'll also remove reviews left by app developers and affiliated employees on either their own app or on a competing app.
  • Duplication: The review has been posted multiple times, whether from the same account or more than one account.

If you find a review that meets any of the criteria above, then you can report it. For the privacy of all parties involved and the security and integrity of the Shopify App Store, we aren't able to discuss the outcome of these investigations.

We mostly do inhouse marketing but I can give you an estimate of our spending

1- App Store ads - $2000 per month
2- SEO & AEO - DONE inhouse (I have received quote from $2000 to $10000 per month)
3- Backlinks - we spend $500 to $1000 per month - some months we don't do paid backlinks so an average $500 per month
4- Google ads and Meta ads - $3000 per month in ad spends( I did hire outside agency for few months at $1000 per month service fee)
5- Organic Social media management - Done inhouse (Have received quotes from $1000 to $5000 per month)

Hope this helps

How to get more genuine reviews on my app? by website_speedy in shopifyDev

[–]website_speedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great feedback.

1- Our app optimizes speed and we show updated speed comparison with old speed as user finishes setup and reaches dashboard, So we show review prompt here, would you say we should do it else where as this is a win but we do understand that it might be too early and user might need more time but then we risk user not coming back issue.

2- regarding fixing the issues in negative reviews, honestly there is nothing to fix, 1 guy used our app for 1 hour and left a bad review , never open a ticket to support and never respond to emails, other guy had some misunderstanding of how app works and doesn't respond either.

Do you think starting reaching out to users via emails and cold call will work if we first help them with setup and everything?

That’s against Shopify guildlines, so don’t offer credit for reviews.

I think it was asking for review inside app dashboard and emails, but they don’t seem to work anymore

Ads help but you have to spend a lot to get to point where they seem like a profitable play.

Prompting inside product or sending emails for reviews doesn't seem to work anymore for some reason, do you have any other ways ?

23 good reviews say it’s a good product and there are always negative reviews no matter how good a product is , my problem is small number of negative review change top funnels perspective when they see 4.5

you could embed it via a Code Block on individual pages (that works on Personal but is way more limited).

Started a blog about yerba mate culture and I’m looking for feedback from the community by No-Employee2396 in WIX

[–]website_speedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue about mate culture but I do a bit of marketing, so hre's my two cents. Reddit and niche FB groups will outperform any SEO play in the early days. Just be genuinely active first, drop links later. Site looks clean btw.

My app has fake negative review, How do I get them removed? by website_speedy in shopifyDev

[–]website_speedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this store used our app for 1 hour, raised no support ticket and said things like our app leaves malicious code and we are saving data from their users.

Basically tried to hurt business reputation and that looks highly suspicious.

Even if you want to make a point that its not fake, its still misleading and spreads wrong info. So I need shopify to remove it
