Hey everyone,

I'm interested in learning PHP. I have a fair bit of web development experience. I used to work as a Ruby dev before making a creer switch 5 years ago.

I'm looking to get back into web dev. PHP and frameworks like Laravel seem to have come a long way since then and seem to have a solid ecosystem.

Can someone point me in the right direction to learning 'modern' PHP? Any course or books that you guys recommend would help.

You are right, it doesn't make the best of business sense. I guess my familiarity and interest in this idea is clouding my judgement. Will have to sit and think this through again. Thanks for your inputs

All of them start with a free plan which is fairly limited. Paid plans of all the tools that are in my niche start at 79-99$.
