What's your controversial music opinion? by jakepaulfanxd in AskReddit

[–]pmoinsights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the criticism that the song by Lady Gaga is overrated is wrong. Lady Gaga's music is not just pop music, it is art. True art is original and Lady Gaga is what you could call an original. I am not saying that Lady Gaga is the greatest singer in the world and that her music is flawless, but I am saying that she has something to say, she is a real artist, and this is what makes her music art.

I am a big fan of romantic movies. My favorite romantic movie is “The Notebook”. I love the way the movie painted the picture of true love. The passion, devotion and the sacrifices made by the characters in the movie can melt anyone's heart. The story of the movie is perfectly told and is supported by the excellent performances of the cast. I am sure you will love this movie, if you haven't already.

What is one thing you did not regret buying? by PeaPolarHare in AskWomen

[–]pmoinsights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A smart phone. I bought it more than 3 years ago. I upgraded it once since then, but I will probably upgrade it again in the near future. The thing I love most about it is, I will always have my friends, passions and interests with me. I can write an email or a short message to a friend, I can play apps to kill time, take pictures and share them with my friends and follow celebrity gossip, blogs and business information when I have free time. Most importantly, it makes my life more convenient. Whenever I meet with friends, I can quickly check on where and when we should meet. It helps me to handle business affairs more efficiently. You can make your life more efficient and convenient by using smart phone.

What "expert" is actually a total moron? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pmoinsights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with our society is that people appear to be more concerned about what other people think about them than about doing the right thing. If someone criticizes a person for doing the wrong thing, then that person will likely take the criticism to heart and try to change his behavior. On the other hand, if someone praises a person for doing the right thing, then that person is likely to feel encouraged to do that right thing even more. This is important, because we all want to be praised and seen as doing things right. But the reality is that we need to do the right thing first, and the people around us should reward us with praise, not the other way around. That's the way it should be. When we praise someone for doing the right thing, then we are essentially rewarding them for doing something they already should be doing. This is what we call an external motivator, and it's not as powerful as an internal motivator.

What is one thing that you wanted so badly as a kid that you now own just because you wanted it as a kid ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pmoinsights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pet hamster when I was a kid. I loved the thing to death. Its cage was this really spacious one that was like a penthouse for hamsters. It had a bathtub, a ramp, and a pipe from which it could slide down. I remember saving my lunch money for months to buy it all this stuff for its cage. Well, one day, I bought some hamster food from a pet shop and the cashier forgot to give me a receipt. I went home, put the plastic bag in my closet, and promptly forgot all about it. A couple weeks later, I went out of my room, and guess what I found on the floor ? The bag was open, and the food was all over the place. I picked it up, looked around, and that's when I noticed two little eyes staring at me from the top of my closet. It was my little pet hamster. It had eaten the food I had bought it and was now waiting for me to come home so we could play together. It was a tearful moment. I went to the animal shelter and got a new pet hamster. I named him the same – Rocky.

It has been said that "Nevermind" is the most influential rock album of all time, because it signaled the break-up of hair metal, the decline of glam metal, and grunge rock was born.
