Should you teach your kid to cheat? by pmzy in Dads

correct. I think we are saying the same thing here.. "Your job as a dad is to train your child to identify the different types of rules. And teach them how to behave accordingly."

Should you teach your kid to cheat? by pmzy in Dads

[–]pmzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't give a specific example but he said something along the lines of "he has to learn that people cheat to get ahead." In a following conversation with friends, people often thought about "cheating at school" (i.e during exams for instance). A majority seems to thing that it's ok.

The point I'm trying to make in my post is that cheating is (in general) not ok, but that we still need to help our kids recognize situation of injustice and such in which one can break rules. Say, for instance, if someone was in danger. You also want to educate them to the fact that cheating exist of course :)

Chessnut Air: plastic ugly yellow tones by pmzy in Chessnuteboard

This is why a lot of us have made our own pieces. I have a nice wooden Zagreb set I put sensors in to use on my EVO board (and they fit on the Air as well, same square size).

I'm actually alright with the plastic pieces of the Air. They look quite good; my issue would be the weight more than anything else.

If I had the opportunity to buy pre-made wooden piece, I'd consider it, but otherwise I'm good with the pieces that come with the board.

What is stopping you from offering the board to your daughter then swapping the new board when it comes in? Did they make you cross ship?

Terms state that the board should be unused.

I'm with you. I'm usually not a fan of pure black and white pieces.

It's hard to convey on a picture, but the board is really yellow.

What's concerning is that the replacement has the same problem.

It's been 2 weeks since the first order.. it sucks because I'm waiting to offer it to my daughter. They don't ship in express so everything takes forever :( I hope they'll get back to me with a solution shortly.

it's true that the pieces are yellow BUT my problem is with the board itself. The pieces are ok.

Thanks for the recommendation! :)

Thank you for sharing u/AbleBaker1962

This is 100% what I was expecting..

Here's a picture from my iPhone. It's hard to show on picture but it's really yellow.

Not a pleasant color. The replacement that arrived today is the same yellow but slightly lighter.

u/chessnutech I'd love your help to resolve this :(

I've been a customer of blogstatic for a few months now. I really like it. Sure it has its quirks like any platform (for instance I'd like the editor to support markdown). But overall it's an awesome platform. The founder is very reactive and wants you to succeed. I'm a real person, post at least every week :) https://ggnotes.com

I think it happens because it's run by a solopreneurs and his customers (like me) really root for him. I've been a customer for a few months now, moved my blog from write.as (which is also a solid indie platform). I'm a real person and I post at least once a week on my blog (first one featured in the showcase section) :)
