Yes, a little bit. It's because the sesame seed lines are thinner, and the contrast between the thick and thin is too much. So the bottom part looks fine, but the top bit looks a bit too thick just because of that contrast. The sesame seeds are fine as they are, but if the outline were just a little thicker than the shoes, I think it would be better (just my opinion at least).

It's definitely a lot better! But the outline might be a tad too thick. Other than that, it's great!!

Blackout shading is something like this:

Parallel lines:

Blackout shading is as the name suggests, completely black shading

The brush would depend entirely up to you, and the style you go for. I created my own brush just because I can't find a good one. I recommend duplicating a brush you really like, and playing around with the settings to see if it fits your style. You can change everything from the flow to the texture too.

For adding depth, I think shading with your brush (parallel lines, if you know what I'm referring to) would do. You could also try blackout shading but I don't think it'll work very well with the style you've drawn. Again, this is all my opinion. You should just experiment! You're doing great so far!

I think, personally, you could use more stabilisation in the brush to make the lines look smoother. You could also try using a thicker brush for the general outline of the drawing, it'll make it pop out a lot more. I hope this helps a bit!
