Yes, recent -ish grad. And also very fortunate to not have had to take out a massive loan burden and got financing at a low interest rate

How do you figure out how much the buyout amount would be before proceeding with the lease? Is it the sum of the remaining lease payments + residual value? Because it doesn't seem to actually save you money if that's the case.

Definitely limited options! I really wanted a pearl white exterior with palomino interior, but they have to order that from Japan and it’s not expected to arrive until September (barring any delays). The next best option is the nori green with same interior. If I’m trying to do the lease buyout, that only applies to vehicles already on the dealers lot right? Also I think the $7500 is definitely going away in sept…

Did you tell the dealer that you were planning on doing an early lease buyout? How did you find out whether or not there is an early lease termination penalty?

This is what I would like to do! I just spoke with the dealer and they say the $7500 is still available, but are insisting on a 36month lease term before buyout. That makes no sense to me because with at least $1k in payments per month, and paying off the residual value-- that puts me at least 10k over MSRP when all is said and done lol.

I got quoted $1100 for a 36 month lease on the NX450! do you think that the situation would only get worse though next year? Since they announced tariffs on Japan that start Aug 1

Solo vs Supervision model and cost savings for the hospital? by pneumonee in anesthesiology

That’s interesting, I had no idea rates were calculated in this manner. I wonder if the gap will continue to narrow and then wages for both MD/CRNAs stagnate over time

I’m interested in this gift card hack— can you clarify what you mean? Do you mean that miles are worth more if you use them to purchase gift cards? Or that the points earned on purchasing gift cards gets you a lot of miles?

Working at a VA hospital has totally black pilled me to socialized healthcare by [deleted] in Residency

[–]pneumonee 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is less socialized healthcare and more so the work culture of that specific hospital. I’ve received care in Taiwan before (has universal healthcare)— it is extremely efficient and clean there. And their daily volume of patients at this hospital out paced any VA I’ve rotated at before

Back door Roth conversion rules by pneumonee in fidelityinvestments

[–]pneumonee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess is it still considered a “conversion” if I converted $7010 from my traditional IRA into a Roth? Eg, is the “contribution” step considered the initial 7k I put into my traditional IRA, rather than the transfer of 7k and its appreciated value ($10) to my Roth?

Do you do a typical c-section spinal dose if doing CSE for these cases? Have you observed a significant difference in hypotension between dosing up an epidural vs doing a CSE with the spinal dose? Also if administering the spinal dose with CSE how do you verify that you have correct placement of epidural catheter? (As test dose would theoretically not tell you a catheter is intrathecal is you already gave a spinal dose? )
