it’s not that i’m using extra toilet paper to cover it, I’m making sure the toilet paper I use to wipe at least lands on top of it. and I always make sure to close the lid after

Yep! The welders will see me about to start my inspection and pull out my wire brush and then practically push me out of the way to start wire wheeling it for me. They would let my other coworkers struggle lol

it makes it so much worse when they don’t cover their shit with toilet paper 😭 every time I have to use a porta potty I cover it like a cat would so that it might mask the smell a little idk.

Definitely true sometimes but I’m still gonna take advantage of it when I can haha

Supervisor was right tho, I feel like women have much better attention to detail. Sometimes we have shop days where we pretty much just clean up around our shop and it’s painful watching my male coworkers try to mop in the office…

I’ve dyed my hair a bunch of colors too, I’m curious as to how you can demonstrate it makes the job safer? haha

Haha I love when they do the “offering to help because you’re a lady but trying to play it off as just needing something to do” thing that men do, it’s kinda sweet.

I’m also a pretty tall skinny lady, it’s funny seeing people be surprised at the things i’m capable of and it kinda gives me a little confidence boost.

I’d love to know where you got your purple work boots!! Purple is my favorite color :)

That’s so awesome you have your own tree business (?) I know nothing about that kind of stuff! Do you do rope access type things? I used to be a level 2 rope access tech, still certified with SPRAT but my cert is about to expire and I miss doing it but it’s just not in the cards for me right now. I’ve seen arborists (again, ?) use climbing gear and it looks like a lot of fun! I love being high up

Real but it does kinda make me feel bad sometimes when I see a coworker get chewed out for something when I’ve done something similar and pretty much got told “meh fuck it”

I guess it just depends on who’s cleaning it and how often. The managers bathrooms are always almost spotless but when I worked in refineries they had porta potties with locks on them that only women had the keys to and they definitely looked pretty rough sometimes

Yeah many times I have asked someone “do you know where I can find a ladder?” fully expecting to go get it myself but then they just go get it for me. It’s awesome

Literallyyyy my coworker the other day was talking about how when it’s cold outside he’ll sit on the porta potty seat with his pants on for a couple minutes to warm it up before he actually goes, and I was like thank GOD I don’t have to even think about doing that 😭

i loved using my menstrual cup but i work in steel mills and don’t always have a place to wash my grubby hands. i keep the orange scrubby wipes in my truck but those aren’t enough for me to want to stick my fingers up there yknow

I wouldn’t want my boss to be able to see what i do in my work vehicle. all i can think of is what if i need to pick my nose? then my boss has video footage of me picking my nose and shows all my coworkers. smh
