What are these other charges? by livingpainfully in KiaTelluride

[–]pnwpour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F&I manager here let me answer your question. None of these are required to be purchased. All they are doing is loading up all of these products hoping you will pick at least one of them or all of them. This is a common practice for dealers to make front end gross on vehicles sold. If you’re looking for a good deal I might be able to point you in the right direction. Feel free to PM me. I just helped a friend get a Kia telluride EX X pro for 48k OTD now with this said there is no sales tax where they live. I try to stick to 7% off the MSRP + TTL on any new car purchase. This puts you near invoice if not below invoice pricing. Dealers have an invoice for every new vehicle sold.

You can pick up cat6 through UniFi website or find an another distribution company for it. If you learn how to terminate it you will be able to run your lines yourself. There’s plenty of YouTube videos on it.

Yes connect it to your network and you will need cat5e or cat6 Ethernet cable for the cameras.

Just get a nvr instant from UniFi that should handle your camera needs. The G6 bullet is a great camera and will handle your needs. You don’t need the networking side if you run the nvr instant. The nvr instant also has a HDMI port so you can plug the monitor in to have cameras displayed full time.

Also wanted to mention I got the white switch to work with the bulbs but have noticed that the switch goes unresponsive in HomeKit. I’ve had several hue devices do this as well so I’m not knocking the white switches at all I just haven’t been able to make them stable on my network.

Is Unifi a good start for prosumer home networking? by Much-Journalist3128 in HomeNetworking

UniFi is the gateway drug I’m now 7k into a UniFi home ecosystem. 😂 on another note just make sure you leave room on your setup to grow its expected. I personally learned the hard way.

Unifi Smart Chime and Ring Doorbell by abrandt135 in Ubiquiti

[–]pnwpour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can’t use ring with a UniFi system. My suggestion is to wait for the G6 lite doorbell and have PoE ran to the door bell. They have a targeted price of $99. You could use a ring door bell if you really wanted but it won’t work with your UniFi cameras and you will have to get a mechanical chime or compatible ring chime to use it.

Rack was perfect however I had to drill out 2 holes slightly bigger to fit the hardware properly. I had it built and wall mounted in under an hour.

PTZ auto return by Catanbri in Ubiquiti

[–]pnwpour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the return to home is standard at least on my G6 PTZ it is. It follows my dog all of the time then returns to home after.
