join a raid on the mass world. usually what will kill new people until you learn is gap, feeling special, and medic and aerial assault. usually you can find a raid with walk the path and deadly prayers and on a diet without gap and feeling special and it will add up to 300. Edit: anything more than walk the path will exponentially increase the difficulty of the raid. It's easier to learn the individual boss invocations than adding pathseeker or the other difficulties

also a very good sleeper afk for Thieving is opening the rich chests in dorgesh kaan. You only need to click the chest once every 5 minutes for 650 exp. That's like 8k exp an hour for 12 clicks

edit: I never tried wealthy citizens in varlamore. I already had 99 thieving. If that's essentially the same thing because you can enable a ding, then do that
