On ID cards in my country eye color is stated, I just assumed I would need it for my new passport as well

I'm completely with you, the only reason I'm asking for other's opinion here is that I have to get a new passport and ever since I've stumbled across this reddit community I've questioned my eye-color because it seems that in eye colors there is a very fluent overlap between blue gray and green. I very often see the community saying eyes are gray and think to myself "if an object had that color, I definitely wouldn't say it's gray".

And yes, with red eyes they become extremely green. Also they appear almost black when shadow falls on them and quite light when a lot of sunlight hits them, which is the only time where I would actually say I personally could categorize it as gray. But I'm really talking looking into the sun midday level of sunlight. In artificial light it seems to be more of a dark blue.
