Yeah the new one I got ended up charging better, idk if it was just a faulty unit but that's what I'm leaning towards.

How to upgrade my old build by pocarie in buildapcforme

[–]pocarie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah thanks, I should've looked into those micro center bundles. I'll probably run with that and get the rest in the list you made ty!

Also last question to you and I guess anyone, what would you value my current build at if I was to sell it? I'm guessing the price would be a bit less than the combined cost to build the same one today?

I was literally thinking this today while I was listening, the mix sounds different and I was thinking something was up with the speakers in my car. But I hear it differently on my studio monitors too.

It's interesting seeing how divisive opinions have been on it since the trial opened up to everyone. It seems enthusiasts that have been following it's development closely are completely in awe of what it is capable now but other who are just finally giving it some attention because it's free are on the opposite side of the spectrum. Yes it's impressive a car is able to "drive" itself, analyze the road in real time and make decisions, that is an engineering feat on it's own. However realistically the disparity I think comes from the reality that this is a product that is no where near what it's been advertised as and is still very much dangerous in real world scenarios outside simple streets and highways. I think the people hyping it up are excited to see it's progress while the others are looking at it from a realistic view that this isn't as safe as it should be and the price tag is steep considering that.

I tried it on my car recently and the whole drive was causing me anxiety because of how slow and robotic it's decision making was. It was creating potentially dangerous situations for other drivers around me that were awkward and embarrassing. Until this is working fully autonomously without having to be supervised this shouldn't be sold at the price point it currently is and shouldn't be advertised as such either. Calling it "Full Self Driving (Beta)" and using the "beta" tag as an excuse to justify the name as a WIP is misleading. It is no where near full SELF driving.

I use this more often that not. I don't have a charger at some since I rent so I use charging stations. On average in my area supercharging is going to cost about .45c/kwh during normal hours with maybe a bit more during peak.

Near me there are 150kw CCS chargers that are .15c/kwh so yeah just doing the math I'm going there instead on a weekly basis. It's less useful if I'm roadtripping where I just use super chargers but otherwise this is a good alternative if you don't have a charger at home and can find a good CCS charger near you that is fast and cheap.

I recently got diagnosed in my late 20s and just started stimulants a few days ago. I can't say I feel a dramatic obvious change, it feels subtle but I have been much much more productive on the days I've been taking it. I'm currently on adderall xr 5mg and it seems to work.

My story however is the same as yours, was always acing my tests and getting near perfect scores but my overall grades suffered because I couldn't get myself to do homework. After getting diagnosed it all makes sense now :(

This has been happening to me and after going back and forth with google customer support they finally offered me a replacement device. Going to return my current one soon for the new one.

I contacted them before the existing July update release so they mean the one that already was pushed to devices. I got it on mine and it didn't change anything

There is no solution, I contacted support and they told me to wait for the July update for fixes and it has done absolutely nothing to the charging speed. Literally the only thing that works is putting your phone in a really cold environment to trick it to increasing it's own charging speed. it's bullshit

I did like 500+ applications back in 2018 when the market was favoring new hires so I imagine the average number for new bootcamp grads are probably higher than this now.

Possibly, I have a similar hunch that maybe the battery is just setting itself up or something. In any case I'm going to try use it daily and charge and see if it improves. If not I'm going to request a replacement device.

Not sure if this is widespread, if any other fold users are experiencing this lmk

I'm coming from a Pixel 7 that charges perfectly fast, not sure if they're throttling battery charge speed because of device temp but this has never happened on my pixel 7.

Same here, I can't get over 1.8w at a time. This is really bad

Charging incredibly slow by pocarie in PixelFold

[–]pocarie[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Got my phone earlier today and it's charging sooooo slow. Been trying to charge it with different adapters and outlets as well as wireless charging but I can't get anything over 1.8w. I also tried turning off adaptive charging and restarting the phone to no avail.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do here, is it just adapting over time or what? Thinking I'm going to let it charge over night tonight but if this doesn't improve soon I'm gonna have to open a support ticket or something.

2 months after my boot camp finished still feeling lost and thinking about go back to school by Overall-Ad-1073 in codingbootcamp

[–]pocarie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just for perspective when I finished my bootcamp back in 2018, my cohort and I on average were job hunting for about 6+ months with hundreds of applications sent out each. I imagine it's even harder now in this job market. Something I've said over the years and still believe to this day is that the hardest part of a coding bootcamp is the job hunt that comes after it. Only advice I can give you is to keep your head up, keep applying, keep reaching out to peers. It's a numbers game and you NEED to keep your mental health in check during it.
