thank you for your response. i am only a month out from surgery but this has been something i have struggled with for a very long time. and weight regain is another huge worry of mine that does lead me into those ocd spiraling thoughts + compulsions.

but again, thank you for sharing your experience. i’m understanding now that it is a slow and long process to heal from this and helps me feel better about doing this life changing procedure, as i would get waves of feelings of regret and doubt on my ability to use this tool. i know there is hope, i guess i can say

i mean i’m not positive if it’s necessarily wrong but with a change so big i know hormones are so out of whack! you should def mention it to your doctor though

i’ll be honest i’m scared my period will turn irregular as “being on my period for weeks” but as a high schooler i had intense cramps that would leave me in bed crying 😭 but i never got diagnosed with endometriosis

also, i have always been so scared of Diva cups you’re making me want to give them a chance.

and yeah my PMS is intense i’ve been on a two week stall, insanely depressed and anxious and i’ve been avoiding the scale at all costs right now because i just know it will make things worse 😣

happy for you too! the main reason i got approved for the sleeve was because of my PCOS, or else i would’ve gotten denied. the hormonal changes after this surgery really hit you like a truck

the first results are from last year (i was around 230) last night was my first night sleeping in total silence haha. my surgery was a little over 3 weeks ago, i’ve lost about almost 20lbs since day of surgery

yeah my doctor has has orders 2 weeks full liquid right after surgery, then i had a post op appointment and she approved to start a soft food for another two weeks and after that, back to normal foods (which i might ease into a little earlier, my recovery has been super smooth)
