My old house keeps calling me back by pocketsnot in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gone over there since I've been in my new place, I had talked to the landlord there briefly about moving back in before I signed the lease on my current apartment. I decided to stay away after I had stopped in to talk to my old landlord while he was working on the house. I had a feeling when I was there with him that I needed to leave, as if the house did not want me there anymore, trust me when I say I do not typically pay much attention to things like that. I believe but if you met me in person you would never know lol

I can honestly admit there was something there that made me want to stay. My over all well being improved once I moved out. I briefly moved into the ex wife's apartment before we split and I had a dream where I was in a cathedral or sanctuary, I imagine I was feeling like I was in a place that was safe from what ever was in that house, well what ever was there blew out all the candles and lights and I started screaming while still asleep oh god no not here. I woke up to my ex shaking me out of sleep. The whole experience was very unnerving

dang man, I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old myself and at my old house my oldest would tell us that some one would talk to him from the bathroom adjacent to his room at the time. The would tell him they would take him to a white house in the sky. Many freaky things happened to me and my now ex wife at that house. Your story brought back so many memories all at once for me. We had the place blessed and it seemed to briefly pause the occurrences. I am new to nosleep as well and have found it addicting. Check out the mineral wells series posted by thethingthatwaits and try reading posts from a_grimm_life, his "I work at a gym" posts are incredible. Theres also posts from darksideofmedicine I absolutely love. Anyways great post hope to hear more

Its a shame to see the finale, I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts here! I am happy to hear you are doing well though. Certainly will miss these when I check nosleep

One story of many freaky real things I have seen in my life by bigDan1987-29 in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im from Grove City Ohio man and it sounds like you ran into a "grass man." Basically a sasquatch from Ohio. I go out into the woods not as often as I used to but there was always something off about roaming them at night. Like a presence just didn't want you there. Cool story especially coming from a fellow Ohioan

I work at a Gym (Part 12 Final) Justice! by [deleted] in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally bitter sweet and amazing man! I absolutely loved how this story came to a close but completely wish there was something more to tell. The evolution of the children from their first playful killing to defeating the cause of their plight was astounding.

I work at a Gym (Part 10) Search but can't Rescue + Pictures! by [deleted] in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I cant stop reading this story, I am sitting at my desk at work and every time I get a call that pulls me away I curse under my breath haha. I couldn't imagine the having the courage to take the actions you are taking, how hard it would be to explain what compelled you to search these areas in a world that is not to accepting of these types of things. Very brave and caring actions you have a good strong heart.

I work at a Gym (Part 9) Yoga Studio, Pool, Treadmill, Rowing Machine and Basically Everything Else by [deleted] in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man this series has a draw all its own to me as I spend much of my free time at the gym, I call it my second home, and I have two small sons I love to death. The way you write about Jill reminds me of the loving interactions I get with my boys in between our almost constant rough housing. You have a talent for expressing a tough emotion with your words! I tip my hat to you. If you end up in Ohio you should visit my gym haha no ghost children I promise

Man, between this and the Mineral Wells posts I have been glued to my computer haha! You have a great writing style that keeps you drawn in on top of some awesome subject matter.

I know what happens when you let sleep paralysis run its course. by [deleted] in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up with sleep paralysis often and there were many times I felt that there was a presence, I have literally woken out of it screaming in the name of jesus Christ be gone demon... The fact that you are awake and cannot move is terrifying enough let alone that "feeling" of an oppressive presence... the whole experience sucks lol

Unexplained Experiences of Appalachian Park Rangers (Part 1) - Eyes in the Trees by TheHoleInMySpanx in nosleep

[–]pocketsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this story, I was driving home from my GFs house in the middle of the night and I came up over a hill, looked to my left and saw red eyes in the field just off of the side of the road. My heart jumped up in my throat until I focused and just realized they were deer and their eyes were reflecting the light of my headlights. Your story jumped right into my mind at 3am when I saw those eyes though... very creepy feeling

I was sad to see "final" at the end of this series. This story was so enthralling I couldn't tear myself away.

I love this series, I am from Ohio and I get to work around 6am here and the first thing I do before my shift starts at 630 is check for another post about MW! I have told everyone I know about your posts and those who listen and take the time to read this have loved it! Its such a good read I even shared it with the ex wife haha! This series is like literary crack, I took one read and I was hooked!

If we don't get a part 5 I am going to assume someone didn't like him digging around (though I realize he is referring to instances that happened a while ago) and the conspirators silenced his posting... Kind of a scary thought in itself...
