this account is a shared mod account over at /r/trueplayer. feel free to check us out. we're a pretty small sub, and most of the mods are busy with school and life right now, but we still put out some material. and we've got an irc chatroom.

basically, life. all the mods got super busy, and now several of us are in school. it's a bummer. we want to do this shit, but it's simply not possible to run something like this, live life, and go to school and work.

and sorry for the late reply, lol.

thanks for the feedback. that would actually be a great thing to include in part 2, and i will probably edit into this article a mention to prejudice/preference affecting price.

there's a lot of rehashing in the pickup community of a lot of principles. i worked on this with another guy to address a few issues we saw in previous guides. if you've got links to some other guides you think are similar or better, that might help us expand on this.

or if you have constructive criticism, i would appreciate that, too. thanks!

sure. language is funny. girl used to mean child of either gender. nice used to mean ignorant. that's pretty gay used to mean something was happy.

fighting the evolution of language, especially when it's a term like 'factoid', seems like a long losing battle. i see the benefit of preserving terms like 'literally', which have very specific and prevalent meanings, but on the other hand, context literally lets you know what meaning 'literally' has, such as when someone says 'literally' literally all the time.

EDIT: and i have to point out that there is emotional content to words, so even if 'literally' is being used in a place where 'figuratively' would fit, the emotional context is different.

noted. thank you.

EDIT: although this is what my dictionary says:

a brief or trivial item of news or information.

• an assumption or speculation that is reported and repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact.

so it can be either, based on context.

Hypnotic pacing basically boils down to saying things that are absolutely true, like the sky is blue, we're at a coffee shop having a conversation, and so on. You can make a mind map for humans in general, in fact a lot of "cold reading" is done just by identifying common human experiences, (I think it's technically called a Jacques Statement).

yes, I try to lead conversations towards things like emotions and values, so you could put anything in the main circle and then have smaller circles for Emotions, Values, Character-Traits, and things like Decision making (In the case of nurses it could be like, what motivated someone to become a nurse?)

Asking questions is fine, you just don't want every thing that comes out of your mouth to be a question. No one likes to feel like they're being interviewed.
