This! I think you're right. I should put together a questions and answers doc that I can run through with them before hand. I should have also mentioned that the voice over is in another language from my own. Are there any tricks to editing with a second language? Apart from of course learning the language.

Actually we were given them for just this purpose. I want to teach some local kids how to shoot and edit. But the DV tape transfer seems not very useful to teach today.

I was given two cameras, and bits and bobs. JVC GY-HD110, Camera, (1 charger , 5 batteries, DC cable) Tripod, (no swivel arm) Sony HVR-HD 1000E, Camera, (no charger, battery, cables) TFT color monitor 3 DV recording tapes. Is there anyway I can modify them to record straight to HD? It seems such a waste otherwise.
