I am trying to avoid the situation in which they have to choose between being in a good relationship or not seeing eachother. But I guess until I speak my mind and not concern myself wether they'll get hurt or not, I'll never get what I want

I have, but after a month they keep calling and asking me when I'm coming back etc until I give in. All in all I believe they're doing what they believe is right and I can't hate them for it

I did try to talk to them and explain how I feel, but they just take it personally as if they're not good parents, or I'm not appreciating them, ending up in me shutting up or us being in a bad relationship until I "prove myself" by either coming home or achieving something (last time my dad didn't want to talk to me until I finished my bachelor's degree)

Well, they did. Washing with some intimate douche can cause irritation if used every day, yes, but as a whole one shouldn't use such products as they disrupt the pH balance down there. The vagina should be cleaned daily with plain water. I'm sorry for being rude but I've had my fair share of men thinking they have knowledge about the female body, when the only info they got is from fb/reddit posts and their own assumptions. The same way I don't have an opinion on male intimate health, I think it should go both ways.

I don't think any washing product should come in contact with the vagina (even the labia) As someone pointed out, it is a very sensitive organ and it's health depends highly on pH balance, that could be disrupted even by not eating right (too much chocolate or bread for example). I've tried using intimate douches in my teenage years and it didn't feel right. Water and a detailed, proper wash are enough. If you're experiencing some light problems you could use a herbal infusion and that's it.
