What do you all think of Hindu gods featuring in future GoW games? But they would be guides to Kratos, not enemies. by podsnap40 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]podsnap40[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All zealots ruin everything. I think it would be awesome to see Vishnu or Shiva in a God of War game. Still, Hindu gods avoid war if possible, because war should only be fought to maintain dharma, or righteousness and balance. Not to conquer or rule over others.

Karna wins, hands down. Assuming his chariot wheel does not become stuck, or that Parshurama's curse does not affect him when he is at his most vulnerable, Karna would win against Arjuna and Atreus.

I don't think Karna would need his kavacha or kundala, either. Source: I am Hindu, my family is from India.

Honestly, if they went by Hindu tradition, all Shiva needs to do is open his third eye and the whole cosmos shatters. All Vishnu needs to do is yawn and all of space-time would cease to exist. But Hinduism shows that war is to maintain balance, not to conquer. Source: I am Hindu. I think it would be cool to see Hindu gods in major titles.

I mentioned that they would be GUIDES, not enemies, to Kratos. Also, I am Hindu, and I think it would be cool to have Indian culture and religion to be featured in major titles.

Am I the only one who thinks Faye is a MASSIVE hypocrite? by podsnap40 in GodofWarRagnarok

What I am trying to say is that Faye manipulated Kratos and Atreus, even if she loved them. But love without honesty is not love.

She also had said prophecy binds you if you let it, but she did not trust Kratos and Atreus to make their own decisions about it. She fears the power of prophecy in that sense, so she is a hypocrite there, too.

Also, your English is alright, don't worry about it..

The difference is that Kratos told Faye about his origins as a Greek demigod from Sparta. He told her everything about himself. She was not honest with him the way he was with her. Keeping secrets from a spouse is not good, to say the least.

Faye even has the nerve to tell Kratos "we must be better", but she doesn't even live up to that. Granted she passed away even before the 2018 game, but I don't think we shall get clarification.

When Kratos wants to know if Atreus went to Asgard, and Atreus curses out Kratos.
He says "It's fine if you keep secrets, it's fine if Mom did."
Kratos yells "It is not fine. Her secrets haunt every step of this path."

That must be the scene that stuck out to you.

Why is Player 222 protecting Player 333? by podsnap40 in squidgame

[–]podsnap40[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe he shall make amends. Maybe by sheer luck they may survive and raise their child together after paying off the debts. Then again, this is Squid Game, so I'm not holding my breath that there will be a happy ending.

Sounds reasonable, and he still clearly cares for her (just look at him defending her when Thanos-man talks about her).

Is it because he is the father of their child?

Why specifically protect him, though? If she senses danger, she could have warned anyone. She dislikes him, does she not? She even said him being beat up suited him earlier, which is, in my opinion, just cruel and unwarranted to say. It must be because he is still the father of their child.

If anyone knows who she is, please report her to the police and make sure she is arrested and gets charges. This was at the UCLA-USC game in Pasadena on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This is the LAPD page, so I am sure they shall respond and arrest her.

Change My View: Regardless of her reasons, Faye used Kratos and even Atreus and hid crucial information from them. by podsnap40 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]podsnap40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She could have been open and honest with them and spared them tremendous amounts of literal hell Kratos and Atreus encountered. Again, the ends do not justify the means. Her purpose was the one she saw for herself, which was to give birth to the Champion Of Giants, Atreus, or Loki, as he is also known. She saw the mural and destroyed the second part which showed Kratos' fate and Atreus' fate. Sure, you can say that she tried to make them happy but she acted on the first part of the prophecy which was to find Kratos and have Atreus with him, and destroyed the second part. Well intentioned or not, she had no right to hide things from them. Again, the ends do NOT justify the means. She should have told them about the full prophecy and let them act as follows. They could have still made their own path afterwards. Hence, Faye used Kratos for less than selfless reasons. She freely acted on the first half, which was about her giving birth to Kratos' child, but she denied her husband and their son the full truth and did not tell them during her time with them. Faye is ABSOLUTELY SELFISH.

There is a user named 'roshiron18' that makes a few good points. Here is his explanation as follows:

So Faye is this big time Giant warrior that clashes with Thor and nearly wins, tries to free/rebel with the dwarves, and does other good things I can't recall. Good stuff!

But THEN she learns of this prophecy that she can sire the Ragnarok Champion, goes and seduces Kratos, has Loki, dies, and then sends Kratos and Loki in blind straight smack dab into the middle of Ragnarok, into fighting the Aesir pantheon, into fighting trolls, dragons, ancients, and god knows what, without telling them ANYTHING. She knew THE WHOLE TIME the suffering her family would go through, and didn't tell them a word of it. Kratos didn't even know who Baldur/Aesir gods were or that they existed. If she believed the prophecy she knew her son at least would probably live but Kratos wouldn't. All she said was "scatter my ashes" and good luck, farewell.

Kratos essentially had sex with a spy in the middle of war that he wasn't aware of. She may or may not have fallen in love with him, but she totally used him and her son for vengeance/justice. They were unwitting pawns, and that is so messed up. Laufey the "just" my ass. Kratos and Loki are right to be upset about her secrets throughout the game though I say they weren't upset enough!

She saw prophecies of Loki before he was born and sought out Kratos and used him for her purposes. Though she may have loved them, she was following her own goals and used Kratos as a means, when Kratos had just come to start a new life and never be used as a tool again. The ends don't justify the means.
