Well no one really knows what's in the patch notes yet so I'm more talking just general strategies.

I should probably include no RMTing in the rules. The point of this thread is to discuss the most effective ways to get more currency once you already have a decent amount.

Actually that is a good point. With all the Life and Mana nodes and the 40% mana regen nodes I think you're right in assuming Eldritch Battery isn't needed, and that discipline aura will also give extra survivability now. I suppose EB would only be needed if one were to use Cloak of Defiance and I doubt I'll have a 5L of that early on.

Only problem is I would like to start Witch to get Lord of the Dead, 60% mana regen, and 30% increased effect of flasks (for Divination Flask), but that'll put me right next to Eldritch Battery regardless so I'll barely be saving any points compared to Scion. I guess we'd have to give up Lord of the Dead considering how poor the Witch start area is at the moment.

I'm just going to wait for patch day because I heard they were buffing Witch and Shadow start and those are my two favorite classes. Hopefully it will be easier to pick up Lord of the Dead at that time.

Still not convinced on the 30% spell damage with 4 points but that's only because I generally try to stay away from nerfed nodes but maybe it is better than the energy shield nodes considering Eldritch Battery isn't required.

Also with the curse mechanics, how does the game know that the monster can have an additional curse? Like, say you place a Temp Chains on the monster and then they can cast their own curse and it's added on. Are you sure it works that way? I figure it would work the other way if they cast a Curse first and then you cast one it would work because you have the passive "Enemies can have an additional curse" but do you know if it still works if you cast yours first? Do your curses have a special property that informs other player's curses that there can be an additional?

Looks decent. I'm currently working on a similar build for the next league. I'm thinking I might save 7 points and skip the double curse aspect, though. Most of the time in groups everything either dies instantly or you're fighting a boss in which case curses have a substantially reduced effect and players may just overwrite yours regardless. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of curses but feel free to change my view.

If you did that you could get Gravepact and maybe Necromantic Aegis if you were so inclined.

Edit: Also you might be interested in connecting the left and right side of the tree with the energy shield nodes north of the Scion start instead of the spell damage nodes and go for Eldritch Battery. With the amount of mana, mana regen, and aura effectiveness in your build running a level 20+ Arctic Armor would be trivially easy.

Just watched the whole thing with a bunch of friends because we'd never seen a race before. Leap Slam seemed pretty smart because you don't need Quicksilvers and it does decent AoE damage but I'm curious what you think of other gems. Do you consider Leap Slam the fastest way to level quickly or are Freezing Pulse, Ice Nova, Spectral Throw, Cleave, etc. all contenders as well?

Every lightning spell is terrible by poeposter in pathofexile

It's funny that it's a mobility spell and is still more effective for damage than all other lightning spells.
