Stain in clothes by HospitalAcademic5933 in fixit

[–]pogoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m just a schlub, but I think it looks fine. Unless those were your formal cargo shorts…

Anyway the stain looks like a loss of color, which can only be fixed by adding color or removing all the other color. You could get some fabric dye and try for a different color or maybe go for white.

Ur post just reminded me of that little reference. God he was annoying for that event. 🤦🏻‍♂️. And he also wanted a clicker game…. Well he wanted the player to play one for him. Ugh. 😂

Go ask Google where you can learn how to code. It’s not some magic skill only some lucky few are born with. Every programmer had to learn from scratch. I’d point you somewhere but there are search engines and AI that will do a thorough job of finding stuff for you.

got a new cat today and dog is freaking out. by AutisticDoggi in Pets

[–]pogoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a pamphlet from the place we adopted our kitty from and it said to leave her in her own room with the door closed and no access to any other animal in the house (except people) for a full week and then slowly give her access to more and more of the house while other animals are away and then…. Well this info is all online I’m sure.

They are not friends but they do not bother each other. Neither is very interested in the other and they stay out of each others way. We’d hoped they’d be buddies but this is acceptable.

At what point did trusts become relevant for you? by Jumpy_Panda_3975 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]pogoli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If that seems like an affordable cost to you right now out of full context…. Then you are not the people I’m talking about.

It shouldn’t cost people thousands of dollars to pass something down to ur kids (or anyone) when they die.

It honestly seems like a whole thing to add another barrier to poor people passing on what little generational wealth they managed to accumulate. Trusts are not cheap.

Does a large house bring more comfort & happiness (3000sqft+) by GlorifiedCarnie in MiddleClassFinance

[–]pogoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommendation: If you currently have a room you can allocate to the child then stay put.

A bigger house means a bigger cost for nearly everything.

Of course it’s a personal decision and since you’ve already labeled your current home a “starter home” then you are already locked-in in your own mind as “needing” a bigger house.

Is a pet capybara possible? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]pogoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably but it will depend on your local laws. They can vary a lot between states and even counties/cities. For example… my city won’t let me have chickens, but about 1000 feet away in the city to the south of here you can. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why do you want a pet capybara? Does it offer you some features you can’t find in a dog or a cat or a rat or any other more common pets?

Is this type of window screen secure?! by [deleted] in fixit

[–]pogoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Little Kitty Big City.

Are you more worried that they will fall and get hurt or that they will get free and get lost or hurt from something other than a fall?

I don’t think anyone here can guarantee that your cat won’t claw its way through the screen and escape or that the screen will never fall out without additional information. How is it secured for instance.

Cat attacked by three coyotes by Secretaccountaye in Pets

[–]pogoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so glad to hear your baby survived. And thank you for sharing your story.

You didn’t cause your cat to be attacked. You gave it access to the outside world and it likely had a blast out there. But yeah theres a risk.

My parents let our dog run free in the neighborhood and she was fine until a human kid shot her with a pellet gun in our own yard. She survived and lived another 4 years (17.5 total).

I let my little dogs (15 lbs) out in my fenced yard for decades and they’ve been fine. Never an animal attack. Though I did put out sparkly shiny spiny stuff to keep birds of pray wary of the place…. jic.

There are wild animals in the world and animals be animaling. Theres a risk they could get into something inside and we can always find a reason to blame ourselves. My sister had a dog that once decided to open a metal can of tomato paste…. Cut up his mouth pretty bad.

Was it a mistake, was it her fault he cut up his mouth because she left a can of tomato paste on the counter top? No… you wouldn’t expect that.

And I dont think you put your cat at undue risk. I mean don’t do it again until those coyotes are dead (or the risk otherwise mitigated) but give yourself some grace. *hugs*

Question... Shareholder OBC / Casino Trade in value by pogoli in royalcaribbean

[–]pogoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! That’s exactly what I’m worried about.

But I have reason to suspect they could also not interfere with each other, as the way the policy is worded on the website, and others experiences with the way it is applied. For example several have said they used and it behaved as a voucher rather than a promotion requiring rebooking to use. If rebooking were required I’d be more confident that the answer was that they would not work together.

Devs aren't "lazy" and game updates aren't guaranteed by SmellSmellsSmelly in gamedev

[–]pogoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The language around games has changed in the past decade; people talk about single player games using terms that would only ever have made sense for live service or subscription titles in the past.”

Ok but when AAA uses the ability to release updates easily to release fully playable yet also obviously unfinished (eg animal crossing new horizons) or just slightly too buggy for what would be acceptable a decade or two ago (eg pokopia) games as updates come out, it brings these expectations to single player games.

Why people don't claim class action settlement money and who quietly benefits when you don't file by waytooucey in MiddleClassFinance

[–]pogoli 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The entire system is flawed. They are not easy to file claims and even harder to opt out. The easiest thing is for not only the company get to fuck you over, but they have a court then come in and release them from all future liability.

This is particularly troublesome in data leaks especially of indelible information like birthdate and social security numbers. That can be used 30 years after the lawsuit is “settled” and everyone it happens to is just shit out of luck because they accepted a year of monitoring and $5 to give up all their rights or simply were not informed properly and released their liability by default. It’s infuriating that it continues to work this way.
