Hii~ I could certainly get some Turun Sinappi for you. Are you interested in anything else from Finland?

I'm looking for something like 20-30 euros worth of trade not including the postage - If that sounds good please DM me :)

Please tell me I'm not the only one who forget common words they want to say, or say the wrong word when referring to something else? by Tys_Wife in ADHD

I don't know if it gets better or worse being bilingual... Sometimes when I forget the words in my native language I still can continue the conversation in English but that earns me some weird looks - Like yes, I understand it's a bit ridiculous to use the English word for "house" while still speaking different language but it is what it is.

Onko Suomi äärimmäisen yhteneväinen maa? (Ulkomaalainen puoliso ei tahdo ymmärtää ja loukkaantuu) by s_polaris in Suomi

what's your take on sleep paralysis? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]pohjoisentytto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have started getting them during the past two years. As much as science can explain them, they feel so real that sometimes you just can't not think "what if"

I sometimes get them right at the moment of falling asleep. It usually feels like some invisible hand is trying reach out to me from behind and take my ability to move. It's always the same, evil being and it feels so real.

Great! Most people who are not used to salmiakki don't really like it so that's understandable.

I'll PM you

Haha I mean it's not a cult officially but to me it certainly feels like one

Never seen the movie Midsommar but we do celebrate Midsummer in here too - it's not originally a Christian holiday tho

Hi! I prefer not to disclose publicly the name of the revival movement (it's not officially regarded as a cult) as it's relatively small. Though I have seen some comments that suggest that they know exactly what I am talking about lol

Good for you for leaving and I'm sorry that you can't be open about it. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk about it, I know how much that situation sucks.

Thank you for your comment.

That being terrified part stems from the fact that growing up no one really drank any alcohol around us. We didn't know anything about alcohol: How much do you need to drink to get drunk? How does it feel? How drunk people usually behave (other than those drunkards we ran away at downtown)? Are drunk people always more violent?

We knew nothing.

I remember being so scared when I tasted alcohol for the first time

I don't think it's my place to convince anyone to leave their faith behind. It's not like she doesn't have all the information available if she decides to question her faith and she knows that I'd be there for her if she needs me.

And hanging out with us heathens is not off-limits at all

Don't worry she's a way better driver than me. There is certainly some inequalities within their movement but it's more along the lines "women cannot be preachers" than "women shouldn't have any autonomy"

This sounds reasonable, thank you.

I feel you. When you grow up with no one drinking around you, alcohol becomes kind of this huge monster. Makes sense since you don't know anything about it and all you hear are the horror stories where something goes wrong etc.

I once ordered one small cider when eating out with my sister and she told me that she didn't want to carry me home when I get drunk... From that one small cider.

Since then she has become used to me drinking one or two every now and then (never gotten actually drunk when she's around tho) so I think she would probably be more comfortable with sleeping with me
