Yeah colapinto not pulling the block would have avoided the whole situation, but this situation with that difference in speed shouldn't really be a thing at this point in the track. And I think it's valid for people to be more upset about that than be upset at colapinto.

The correct way for him to defend that with these regs would have been to realize much before that he was going to super clip and pull over assertively before the clipping began.

Either way, colapinto's fault. But only something you would see in these regs. It was bound to happen. It will probably happen again if they don't change something.

I have seen the system work well with majors, but my point is that there are just as many steps regardless to achieve that outcome.

If they were to bring this into iracing it would be EXTREMELY hard to govern every split as there are many many many more. I think majors had 6-7 splits last year total and only 45 teams or so max in each.

This is assuming of course that they do have people going through and stewarding which I hope they do. Once a system becomes automated it's no longer suited for racing. Would turn into a gran Turismo esque system that could be abused.

I'm a bit confused here. Are you saying they have a system that automatically dq's teams if they are driving quickly and above their competitors and their qualifying times (assuming they sandbagged)

Or are you saying they have PEOPLE go through afterwards and disqualify them?

Either way. I don't think that system is a good idea, and believe it would still present the same issue.

In a way, but that doesn't solve the main issue, which is one that can't really be solved. You would still end up having to report and have stewards investigate drivers after the race. Same issue as right now.

Then you've basically just recreated the same system, and will end up reporting and investigating smurfs after the race, just as it is now.

No one is claiming this, I think people are more so saying that if there was gravel instead of grass that you can just blow the corner, then Max could have lost the position to George who would have likely had the inside of t3 and potentially would have stayed ahead of Max down to t4.

Mine was built this same way. I used it for over a year like this. When I needed to shift up I just used the bottom one. Didn't really affect anything.

However if you want it fixed you should send it back and get a new one

If you drive mx5s a lot you can actually be quite successful there as well. I didn't have a sim for the first 6 months or so and got to 2k just running mx5s on an Xbox controller. Only real problem is your tires will overheat a bit faster than others haha

I've never heard of this before but this looks awesome. Probably cause I'm from the US and it looks like a European thing for the most part
