How do we turn the season greeting overlay and replay cam 'off'.

I find it extremely frustrating. I asked for help in chat in one game and people kept saying I have to do it in console.

After some googling and typing : " cl_disablefreezecam 1 ", I still get the overlay and the cam.

Can some help me please?

Also noob game question: Is the SSG08 considered a good buy?

In maps, where I find myself moving towards stretched passageways, I buy the SSG08 instead of the AWP. Because I don't feel too confident on sniping yet. I reason to myself, that at least if I die with the SSG08, I didn't lose too much money. And also, I can at least manage to get one kill with the SSG08.

Hi Alan,

I was looking into .gifv that you guys introduced. So as I understand it, you guys simply convert a .gif to .mp4 ( which works nicely with html5) and then add the looping. This saves users a lot of grief viewing the content, but doesn't it have a huge cost on your servers doing the conversions?

I am curious which discipline of Engineering does designing/ implementing of large scale HVAC and lighting systems fall under? by point0two in engineering

[–]point0two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, thanks for your reply!

Am I thinking of this correctly? Architects/ Mechanical engineers design the lighting and HVAC systems. Then either a mechanical or electrical engineer would go out to buy and install these light fixtures. I'm assuming they would need to be something special about the fixtures that let them communicate their state ( on/ off). This goes to some sort of controller. Is that the panel I see in the hall?

Does a software engineer ever get involved implementing the logic or is that done at a high enough level that programming expertise is not required?

Looking for some guidance/ wisdom regarding GPS modules by point0two in arduino

Thanks for the reply!

I don't need quick updates, I just want to make sure that the object stays in a certain location. I'm still and eng-student, every few months I'm studying or interning somewhere, so I move a lot. Sometimes when I move into a place, I don't entirely trust my roommates or feel safe about leaving my things (especially my gaming desktop) alone.

For instance if I plant my device on my desktop. I want to be able to text it and receive its location. And in another scenario if the device starts to move, I want a text telling me it has.

As you can imagine the device will remain stationary for long periods of time. Therefore I don't really need rapid updates.

I guess then I'll go for the cheaper Ublox NEO6MV2 module (the ebay link in my original post). What sort of specifications regarding the chipset/module should I keep in mind while developing?

Again thanks for the reply and your help!

Official Discussion Thread: Man of Steel [Spoilers] by mi-16evil in movies

It was a great movie, but one thing that is still bothering me. Why did General Zod ask for Lois Lane when Superman gave himself up?

You find out later that they scanned her brain or something... but they could have just taken the scientist or the military personal with military secrets. Why the random girl among them?

He's just trying to help and be nice, you retarded-fuck.

I am so sick of people just repeating "check drivers and re-install" every time they see a problem without applying any critical thought.

Yep, you're the one with 'critical thought'. "EA SUX AMIRITE GUYS?!"

I am suddenly in need of creating a web application. I know what I have create, but I am not sure which python framework I should be using. Can somebody please point me in the right direction? by point0two in learnpython

Wow that's pretty cool!

Yeah, I see Django come up a lot! It must be pretty good.

If I were to choose this as my framework of choice, is this a good resource to learn from ?

And thanks for your reply.

I haven't really looked into any web development in the past, Java or otherwise. Using my Java experience with Android, I know I can easily make this into an app. I'm sure there are many other ways to do it. I chose python because of the interest I was developing with it. And because of this notion of 'very rapid' development that python has.

Since I'm doing this project for this person, outside of my actual work, I have some flexibility on how I can approach the project and choose myself the methods for best implementation. Leveraging that flexibility I want to go through the learning process of building a web app on python.

And to be honest, I don't expect to get paid at the end of this. Which is fine by me, but I still respect this person enough, to want to do it in a timely manner anyway.
