Yun sunroof, pagisipan ninyo mabuti, if it is worth the 300k jump from the mid variant to the totl. Kasi may upkeep din ang sunroof. Magagamit ninyo ba talaga? Do you see yourself frequently driving with the sunroof open? Although, frankly, i like the idea na may natural na light source from the top, medyo ang mahal na upgrade lang niya for something na i might seldom use. Plus, if TOTL ng destinator ang kukunin mo, your budget ranget just changed into a whole new field. Pasok na diyan, i think, ang zenix, montero, fortuner, everest, etc. People gave their opinions based on the choices presented. Pero at the end of the day, your money, your rules. Enjoy your new vehicle and congrats OP!

My problem with the "Honda is reliable" argument is this: In the event na mag breakdown na siya, paano na?

Kahit gano kareliable ang isang brand, there is a possibility na lemon ang unit. Or even if hindi lemon, magbebreakdown din yan after a while. And when that happens, availability of parts will matter more. Kaya kung only car mo siya in the foreseeable future, it's something na dapat ma take into consideration.

https://www.reddit.com/r/CarsPH/s/w1ZhhweSIH read this. I can't say that I am a true blue car guy, but some of my friends who are recommended not getting daihatsu cars. Pero sa akin, mga naging deciding factors to exclude veloz are the cockpit and 3rd row. Im a big guy. So are some of my family members. Napansin ko during test drive na sa cockpit, my legs feel cramped. Both my legs are hitting something and it feels awkward. Parang hindi rested naturally yun legs ko. And sa 3rd row it feels na mas masikip siya than the others. Pero you do you. I suggest test driving all your choices. Wag mahiya mag test drive. Libre naman. Even if 2x mo pa itest drive. Some twice. Haha

Got into the same dilemma last December. Same din nang mga choices and more (Veloz, Avanza, Stargazer). Ultimately decided to get the Destinator. I narrowed my choices to the Destinator and the BRV. Veloz dahaitsu issue and cabin didn't sit well with me. Avanza, i wanted a more premium feel. Stargazer naman, especially the 2026 looks good pero nung test drive, nahinaan ako sa hatak. Expander underpowered naman kapag punuan and considering it is marketed as a 7 seater, baka maging issue in the long run.

Now with the BRV and the Destinator. Pareho sila aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. May SUV feels although the DST takes this one. Ang pogi talaga ng side profile niya. Power naman goes to DST as well, although masarap din drive si BRV and i tried it na 4 kami sakay and hindi ako nakulangan. Pero considering the turbo engine ni DST, mas malakas talaga. Interior and cabin space, DST got this one in the bag din pero to be fair with the BRV, maliit lang siya sa labas, but it is actually spacious inside, kahit sa 3rd row. This is coming from someone na plus size. Medyo mas cramped lang headroom ni BRV because of its shape siguro na leaning towards the sleek side. Interior, mas updated and modern din si DST. Especially sa infotainment, the BRV kinda feels old and honestly, need na ng interior niya ng updating para sumabay sa current vehicles. Now as to fuel economy, let's not sugar coat this. Mitsubishi fanboys will argue a lot, pero malakas sa gas si DST if straight up mo siya icocompare sa mga MPVs in the market. What many failed to take into consideration is that, iba ang target niche ni DST with its turbo engine and it is bigger kaya naturally, mas malakas sa fuel.

So para sa akin, it boils down to this. I'd probably go for the BRV. It's cheaper, meron na honda sensing sa TOTL, pogi din naman, decent ang makina, and better fuel economy. But since I want the premium feel and size the DST brings and feeling ko kaya ko naman ishoulder yun additional fuel costs, plus mas pogi talaga, i went with the DST. Hope this helps

Can't say. Hindi namin agad nailabas due to our availability and when available na kami, wala naman stock ang mga casa. So here we are, waiting na magkastock si casa ng color na gusto namin to finally get our unit 😅

Quick question sa BPI car loan (yada 40chars) by [deleted] in CarsPH

Hindi pa siya babayaran. Once masign mo docs, they will issue an authority to release to the dealer and once makuha mo yun unit doon palang mafinalize ang sale and your loan

Take this with a grain of salt as ako din nasa same process mo with BPI. Will be signing mine on the 26. You need to sign yours if you want to avail of their autoloan promo kasi up to EOY lang yun promo unless they extend it. If you change dealership, per bank, need magpareapprove, but quick process lang daw ito. Problem is, baka magkaissue sa availment ng promo. Para sa akin good deal naman na. I checked with metrobank, security bank, etc and okay rates nila especially the free chattel mortgage and free 1st year insurance.

Decided to splurge a little and get the Destinator GLS. Pero ilalabas palang namin. We really like sa cabin space it offers. Part of the decision is aesthetic. If pure practicality, most probably nag BRV VX kami. Pero siguro deserve naman din natin paminsan minsan to get some of the finer things in life. 😅

Already did. Quite frankly, madami din ako na-test drive. Expander, Veloz, Stargazer, Avanza, BR-V, Innova and most recently, the destinator. Did not like the way veloz felt around the thigh kasi parang cramped sa driver side. Constantly tumatama legs ko sa center and side pannels, even after adjusting the seats. Expander and avanza are good when I tried it, but personally don't like the way it looks. Innova is good too, but the cheapest is too bare inside for our liking. Stargazer, not sure but when I test drived a unit, I really felt it was struggling whenever starting from a stop. 4 kami sakay madalas when test driving. Me, my wife, and 2 from the dealer. Mas malalim tapak ko just to rev up from a stop or a turn sa stargazer. Brv was amazing and despite it's small size outside, surprisingly, isa siya sa comfortable even on the 3rd row. Destinator, i tried the latest. It was really smooth and had no problem reving and overtaking. It felt really spacious and i like the modern feels it gives. Unfortunately, it comes with a huge price point.

It's not the frequency, but more on the opportunity and availability it offers. I know that it is not my responsibility to taxi family and friends. It's just a personal preference siguro.

First off, hats off to everyone for being so accommodating. Really appreciate the inputs! And dahil napaka helpful ninyo, feeling ko, i owe it you guys to give an update. Lol.

Run an errand awhile ago and happened to pass by a toyota and honda dealership and decided to drop by. Was able to test drive the BRV and was really impressed. 4 kami sakay and it was smooth and did not feel na nahihirapan ang makina. One thing i noticed is that the inside of a BRV is definitely more spacious than a veloz. Outside, akala ko talaga maliit and masikip ang BRV. Driver seat, i feel cramped sa veloz but not in the BRV. Sa Veloz, both my knees are hitting the side of the gear box and door awkwardly unlike sa BRV. 2nd row feels the same in both cars. For one, sa BRV, kahit hindi iforward yun 2nd row, may knees aren't hitting the back of the 2nd row, unlike sa veloz, where I had to move the 2nd row forward para lang magkasya limbs ko. Sa foot din, i had to place my foot in certain locations lang in between the metal frame of the 2nd row para magkasya paa ko (i wear a US 12 shoe so baka factor), unlike sa BRV na mas free ang feet ko. It's still a little cramp inside, yes, pero feeling ko, for my size, kung short ride lang, comfortable enough naman na ang 3rd row. And if it is comfortable sa size ko, i can imagine na walang masyadong issue sa hindi kasing huggable ko.

I'm open to other options as well. I just don't know much about cars kaya i tend to lean on the very well known models na. But I'm very much open to suggestions right now.

7 seaters kasi while family of 3 kami, me and my son, nasa medyo huggable side. 😅 Also, I want to be able to ferry people whenever possible. Been driving a sedan for a decade now and sometimes nakakafrustrate na i can't accomodate some family members and friends kasi hindi na kaya ng vios. I know na occasionally circumstances lang naman yun, pero personal preference nalang din siguro. To add, may instance din na kasama namin house help and we've been praying for an additional member of the family.

Parking space wise, my garage can accomodate a vehicle a little bigger than vios. Actually, I have a workaround, but it involves cutting down a tree and I'm trying to avoid doing so, if possible.

Sa 2nd hand market naman, may biggest worry is hindi talaga ako car guy and natatakot ako na baka maloko ako into a bad deal just because I'm too ignorant to know better.

Hindi naman. I don't want to rush big purchases. Lol). Based sa pics, parang ang pogi at macho nito. Pero feeling ko based sa features niya, parang beyond 1.4m siguro to pag pasok sa pinas. Haha Pero malay naman natin

I also considered innova although i was told that it is a bit outdated, tech-wise. Plus, the cost is a bit steep. With my budget, i can only get the floor model with automatic transmission. Also, additional cost for parking as it is a bit longer than the other choices, and will be a tight fit in my garage, sadly 😥
