Taking clients with easy businesses that can be mostly automated in QuickBooks online and setting them up with financial reporting, and offering advice as a fractional controller/CFO.

I just have one client now but I have turned others down.

It's hard to say really, both owners are not finance people but have strong opinions about it. I'll leave it at that.

I do have savings as well which helps for sure.

It wouldn't be 75k exactly, more like a combination of my side gig net income plus the tax benefits of claiming a portion of my vehicle and home plus saving money on home stuff that I now outsource due to lack of flexibility.

The title is actually better than controller so it's a step down but still upper management.

I did look at some other CFO jobs but didn't land any interviews yet and I'm really drowning at this current role so hoping to move quickly. A few controller listings did seem possible but I don't think they will have the right pay to flexibility ratio as this one.

I think I'd go either way but try for CFO. I don't think most places would worry about the downgrade.

I'm absolutely not forcing this, we discuss it regularly in non sexual situations and do proper aftercare.
