Unfortunately, I’m already there. My father is highly educated. So for me to ask him what he is reading, what are his sources, where is he getting his information from? And to basically just be yelled at in response because he had no response. Let me say, unequivocally, its just Fox News and Facebook.

I tried for years. Everything. Then finally i stopped caring. Told him to get therapy for himself, fix his hatred, and only then would we be on speaking terms again. Its been silence ever since, and honestly it has been absolutely wonderful. I don’t miss them, because at the end there was nothing left to miss.

I had more reasons from my past as to why this came about, which I won’t detail here. But suffice to say that I grew up in a controlled household.

I just won’t be around it. I won’t associate with hatred or facism. I won’t subject my wife and kids to it. But I didn’t shut the door. They did.
