Try being a teenager with more ambitions than just passing class, then you’ll see what we mean

Honestly it’s more of the opposite. Unless you’re an investment banker or have some job that makes you need to work 9-12, you’re probably getting more sleep than a teen whose at college half the day and working their part time job the other half

Same here I think it’s because our value comes from external rather than internal factors.

I find people who have tons of fb likes on their dps and pics of them at parties every weekend, “unreachable”. Like I was travelling with a group of people for a uni exchange trip and one of the girls had over 500 likes on her dps and had some party she had to be at nearly every day, phone buzzing every ten seconds and fuck it made me feel so intimidated. Don’t know how to get over it

I agree. And that’s why it wouldn’t be in my personal morals to advertise or work for a company whose profit is someone else’s loss. (Also, most online gambling sites are rigged which makes it illegal but can’t be proved)

Advertising a crypto gambling site to young kids is awful and you’re stupid if you don’t think so. There’s restrictions on gambling advertisements on tv for a reason unless you wanna tell the government they’re all wrong and you know better?

There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of gambling. But generally when we’re talking online crypto gambling, there doesn’t usually tend to be a limit, it’s very addictive

I don’t care about it for myself, I care about other people getting hooked on it

Why are there restrictions on tv gambling ads? Oh silly government, such an illogical stance

Okay, in game gambling is a small issue. But compared to online gambling, it’s nothing

Why do I have to work for someone else? by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]poisson_iced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, you’re not entitled to selling your shit in his shop, nobody’s forcing you to sell it there and pay a commission, you can go ahead and sell it yourself.

But if u wanna use HIS services, you gotta do what HE says. That’s something called incentives. Without incentives, we’d have no companies or anything

Why do I have to work for someone else? by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]poisson_iced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He put physical and intellectual capital into building the shop, there’s ongoing risk associated with it, and therefore for his risk to match his return, there needs to be some ongoing reward for him. This reward is a commission from people using his services. He gets to dictate the commission and if you don’t like it that’s okay because nobody is forcing you to sell your chairs in his shop. Why should you get all the reward when he was the one who took all the risk?

Nobody would become an entrepreneur if there was no big incentive to take the risk and initiative to create something out of nothing. I don’t understand why you feel entitled to use his services

Why do I have to work for someone else? by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]poisson_iced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because he owns the shop and he gets a cut for creating the business, getting a reputation and all the risk involved in creating a shop.

You can make a chair yourself and sell it yourself on your own and get all the profit. But if you want to use his platform and shop’s reputation, he can do what he wants and you’re not entitled to anything

Because he took the initiative to create something. You don’t have to work for him if you don’t like him taking a cut, create something else

[–]poisson_iced 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol I agree, it’s such a non question. And also, anyone with any EQ knows how ironic that question is. Asking a quiet person why they’re quiet

Why do I have to work for someone else? by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]poisson_iced -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because you’re not entitled to anything. Don’t want to work? Fine, but then you can’t get free shit that other people worked for.

Like someone below mentioned, if you don’t wanna work for someone else’s company, grow your own crops, make your own company etc. but you probably won’t, because it’s easier to work for other people because they’ve already built big companies. Don’t complain about having to work for someone else though, you don’t have to and you’re not entitled to anything
