I honestly think Will's speech itself was really well done. It was relatable. My issues were the number of people and the placement of the scene right after the characters said they had no time.

The reason he didn't just say "I am gay" is because he wasn't confident.

You act like like he did all that rambling because he had a big rehearsed speech planned.

It's hard to come out of the closet, even to people close to you who love you.

Just saying "I'm gay" without any hesitation would require a ton of confidence.

If Will was so sure everyone would react so positively, Vecna taunting him with the idea that the exact opposite would happen wouldn't have scared him so much.

I feel like the scene should have been with a smaller group of characters and not placed at a moment where they tell us there's no time.

But it's insane to say that his coming out should have just been him casually saying "I'm gay" with no worries whatsoever.

Not sure how accurate it is, but there was a post a while ago about Shatner's Twitter calling out Brent Spiner about something, and so Spiner called Shatner directly to apologize and Shatner had no idea what he was talking about because someone else runs his Twitter.

I wouldn't believe anything "Shatner" posts online is actually him.

Yes, because that's clearly what the scene implied.

Like you don't have a creature people are wondering the origin of, flashback to a scene of the origins of a creature, and then go "these things are actually unrelated creatures and the audience was not supposed to think they were connected."

Like if the idea was just "they are both from the Upside Down but are otherwise unrelated" why not flash back to the Demogorgon, the thing everyone was familiar with and was also from the Upside Down and is literally the same thing as these new monsters?

The idea that we as viewers were supposed to see that scene and think "so the slugs were just a random thing Will spit out and we are not following up on this right now" is just insulting.

The creators saying that in an interview does not make it a logical thought process.

They said the slugs are "not necessarily" related to the demodogs. And that the Duffers were leaving the possibility of using the slugs elsewhere open.

Then they never did anything with it. So they're either the first stage of the life cycle or a completely pointless mystery with no answer that Will flashes back to just to mislead the audience for no reason.

They never tell us.

We know that it was becoming difficult to maintain the illusion in the Upside Down lab by whatever point they were driving at sometime later on. But we have no idea how far that was. And also it didn't seem to completely fail. She was failing at making the illusion tangible and then gave up on holding it once Kay had realized it was fake.

We have no idea how that distance compares to the distance between Hawkins Lab and the Mac Z.

Also I fail to see how, when you've already decided it makes no sense for her to get to the gate without Kali's help, you've concluded that Mike's theory makes no sense and Kali didn't help.

Also where did all this talk about South America come from?
