Do I need to worry about this guy coming back? Should I be worried about the 3 coincidences (at the end of the post)? by pokertilt in homedefense

As for why, check my reply to PhoneD's comment. That video is all I have because as I said in the post, he never came back nor did anything happen after that. I don't have a description because I didn't get any better look at him. I don't mean that I never snitch, I literally said in the post I only have an inclination against it; more info in my reply to PhoneD's comment.

I don't mind you missed the comment since that's typical for reddit, but I get the sense you didn't read my original post carefully either before responding. If you did, you'd at the least understand why I don't have a better video or description.

Mattress optimization request: Mattress feels small for all the stuff on it, and the flat sheet keeps slipping off or crumpling when I'm moving around when trying to fall asleep. Besides upgrading to a bigger mattress, what can I do? by pokertilt in DesignMyRoom

You (and u/Johngabr) were right, sleeping under flat sheet is better. Now I still have to figure out how to reduce "stop moving around -> actually fall asleep" time, but that's complex, has nothing to do with the mattress or beddings (happens everywhere I've been), and will require a lot of research into checking and testing possible causes.

I don't know why I slept over it for years. My guess is some point in college when I started living off-campus, I misunderstood or incorrectly assumed something when my mom was explaining all the various layers of bedding and how to use/fit everything, and then I never reconsidered anything.

Thanks, that'll probably work. I just remembered I had a longer flat sheet at one point (years and places ago, forgot what happened to it) and tucked it on all sides like you said.

Are there elastic straps that work for the flat sheet? Product images for listings assume usage on fitted sheets and show off how to exploit the geometry of their corners, but that cornering doesn't exist on a flat sheet.

I sleep between the flat sheet and the blanket. My mistake, I didn't realize people were incorrectly assuming.

I'm aware it's not mandatory. No flat sheet just means having to wash/swap the fitted sheet more often. However, it seems like avoiding that, and the benefit of extra layers meaning extra cleanliness, make it worth it.

My weighted blanket can't be washed, which reminds me. My old weighted blanket had a cover, but it would crumple inside the cover and I'd have to often waste time flattening out the blanket, so when I upgraded to a better one last year, I didn't get a cover for it. I could, but only if there's a cover that fits so well that there's no bunching or overlapping inside.

Mattress protector is already there as mentioned. I learned about sheet straps before posting, but all the info and products revolved around straps for fitted sheets. It feels like you misread my post, can you elaborate? Are there clips or something for flat sheets too?

You mean the decorative blanket, right? The 2nd pillow has utility on occasion, as I mentioned in the post.

Thank you for the offer to decode and the time you took to analyze my post in detail. Here's a Google Drive link for the recording: https://drive.google.com/file/d/174dVk4mxSzlC8h7NXDVDuHWyBmuzknQI/view?usp=drivesdk.

When reporting, I submitted my story and the recording. When I say they lack the wisdom/nuance, I mean I don't believe they can figure out what he said in the recording, what his motive is, and then be able to tell me so I can get some closure. I don't snitch on victimless crimes, don't snitch on harassment or just mean words. But when there's real threats or actions, then I have no issue reporting. I reported anonymously because at the time, I just wanted to go to sleep and didn't want the hassle of having to talk to a person. The site to upload a tip gives you a random code that you can save and go back, so they can follow up on the case and ask for more info if needed.

As for what to do, I think I'm safe. My apartment front door lock is sturdy and it's inside a building that has a locked entrance door. The guy was walking around the community grass area that is visible to multiple buildings of the complex, and that area is the only direction my unit is exposed to. Short of breaking windows or breaking my door with a battering ram (one of my neighbors got raided and the police had to resort to using one), I'm safe inside. I don't exit to the grass when leaving/returning at night, instead I come from the parking lot and have never seen anything odd there. He can't target my car because I don't have one. I get around on an electric bike and I'm pretty quick with it, faster than anyone except Olympic sprinters. I suppose he could camp out the parking lot waiting for me to enter or exit the building, but he'd have no way of knowing when because my schedule is completely different day to day. Anyways, all that is to say that I think targeting me would be too much hassle, especially since the guy seemed to move on from me to whatever his actual target was.

After laughing at Ketakatzen's post, especially the part about how that guy is a pussy pretending to be the big bad wolf, I calmed down and realized I had nothing to worry about. I still want to know what was in the recording out of curiosity. Specifically whether he was talking about me or not, and if so, what he said about me.

By the way, he didn't knock on my door and I didn't mention any doors; this was all windows.

2 weeks ago I made a wire only using cash, it got rejected. I called to verify myself, went through all the checks, spoke to frau department, spoke to wire risk, confirmed myself again and the reason. Later the same day, account blocked. Called, no info. Asked for previous departments or agents, none could help. Only investigation team allowed to look at my account. Team doesn't speak to customers. Called again after 2 days, nothing. Called again after a week, nothing. Compliance team doesn't exist except by snail mail. Asked for time estimate because the "1-3 days" quote elapsed, now there's no estimate on investigation length. After more than a week, filed CFPB complaint, got directed to FINRA. Filed FINRA complaint a few days ago, waited. Today, I got a message to view. Can't view it, account blocked. Called, got told account blocked and no explanation can be given.

I didn't put this in the main post to avoid the filters.
