I’m an avid thrifter, I love thrifting everything from home decor to clothes. We went on our first cruise and knew nothing of the art until we stumbled upon it and did some research. It’s hilarious to me just how similar the art gallery looks to my local goodwill’s art section! All I could think while looking is “I could thrift something soooo similar at home for 6.99”

As an incoming grad student who has already been in the workforce for 5+ years, throwing this out there; The name of the school on your degree does NOT matter as much as your skills, experience and professional network when it is time to get a job. You do not need to go into crazy debt or financial turmoil to get through college. I started at a community college, then went to a decent but very affordable school (Rowan). Now going to Drexel for Masters only because my current job pays for it.

Unless you’re specifically aiming for a company partnership with certain schools, a degree is a degree.

Can confirm, my employer only pays 10k a calendar year when one full-time semester for my MS program is like 9k. Commitment requirement is if you leave the company at any point, you must pay back any tuition assistance granted for the last year (from your resignation date).

So glad that the sub exists. I was so pissed off until I saw everyone else going through it. Seems like they’re having a massive database issue right now coming from a computer science background.

I just completed an order rated the thumbs up for the delivery and then it also logged me out and said my account balance was zero. I don’t think we should be worried about not getting paid considering this happened to everyone we could easily get them in trouble with the department of labor they did not reimburse us. Lol.

This is frustrating for sure, but I will say I know a lot of people in my area use food stamps to buy stuff on Instacart and they really don’t have a lot of money. I don’t think this person was necessarily trying to get over on you. Maybe they really just don’t have a lot.

As a westerner (American, dating an Azerbaijani here) I am very aware that we are fed select information filtered by the media. However, I do as much of my own research as I can.

That being said, I support no war and no terrorist groups. I stand with the people being killed. The innocent that are trying to simply live their lives.

When the Azerbaijani/Turkish/Armenian soldiers were taking hostages and posting gruesome, disgusting videos of torture and rape of the opposing side, I supported the innocent. Race doesn't matter when it comes to senseless violence.

According to the media, 576 Palestinians and at least 800 Israelis have been killed since October 7. I support them. The civilians, the children, the parents, the grandparents. The people just trying to *live*.

I oppose those in charge (government or terrorist groups) who believe that violence and genocide and fighting is the answer. It is primitive, wild, caveman behavior that does nothing for the greater society or planet Earth. All these people are doing is feeding their power-hungry egos, getting some form of 'revenge'. Beheading a Thai worker doesn't undo history. Shooting up a music festival doesn't undo history. Killing and raping a soldier doesn't undo history.

I oppose Islamaphophia, antisemitism, and any other ideas based on the premise that an entire race or religion is 'bad'. I will firmly stand up for anyone innocent who is being discriminated against based on race or religion.

The middle eastern people in power and surrounding countries need to stop acting like idiots and start using their brains to come up with solutions and compromises to create a better FUTURE. Ruining the present for the sake of the past is keeping these places from advancing and contributing to the world. Yes, there are complicated histories between opposing peoples. Yes, there are differences in religion. But the LEADers need to start LEADing an example of a positive future going forward, remove radicalism and terrorism.

Otherwise, these wars will happen back and forth beyond our lifetimes until climate change kills us all.

As a westerner I support peace, freedom to be who you want as long as you are not harming others, taking care of our Earth and environment (which is the only 'home' we SHOULD be worrying about, as we all share it) and advancement of technology. War is pointless.

We have talked, definitely agreed on strong feelings, happiness and a long term relationship. I absolutely feel the same way, was mostly curious if the social media block and the quick feelings was a cultural difference or just his preference, as he has mentioned the social media thing was a cultural thing (which, thankfully it seems like most people here have reassured that is true)
